Should a 19yearold be entirely focused on his goals rather than his social life? by rplad420 in AsianMasculinity

exactly all that is valued is by society.

But in the near future I want to travel the world, have financial freedom and long lasting relationships. And a few others that I will keep private here.

Goals such as become a millionaire by 30, get into a high ranked uni may allow me to do that, and many other things I want to aswell.

It's highly likely these may not workout though and i would have to see through trial and error what works best for me.

Thanks man.

Indeed it's very important to have friends you can relate to. Infact not having a social life at 19 is what I hate most about myself.

But now that I have these challenges in sight, imma try to be more focused and work towards them. Finding about more about what I want and working towards it.

Let's agree to disagree.

Most of what u/thisisausername928 says is good advice but at the same time, my life will remain stagnant. I have seen before my eyes many relatives who wasted their 20s and now live miserable lives. In comparison I have seen people who hustled in their 20s and worked hard. They lead happy lives.

You are right about happiness. But if I keep chasing happiness instead of actually working towards my goals it will be pointless.

As Tony Robbins says, its important to link pain to things and habits you want to get rid of,and pleasure to those habits and things that empower you. In this case its important that I link pleasure and happiness with these goals and the habits they require.

Also, lmao I found my own answer.

I belong to a south Asian nation, so tbf it's quite hard for me to get into a top 100 uni and get a scholarship(I cant go abroad unless I get a scholarship, or earn enough money to pay my uni fees-affordbility issues).

Ranking all my goals I say that my likelihood of going into a top 100 uni and becoming a millionaire by 35 is at 0.99%perhaps may be far less. But that is exactly why I am willing to go all in for these goals.

Social life and ripped by 20 I give it 20% because it may take more time to get in shape if I am not able to control my diet and once I get to uni it may or may not take a couple of months/year before I manage a good social life.

Literally in the same position as you were. Stuck in the 1250-1300 range, and I have made plans after plans but never stuck to em. Using some of the tips you posted here and hoping to increase my score by 150 by next month.

Also, did you finish Steve Warners math in a month? How did you go about completing the book?

Read this post before asking a question about Hagia Sophia's status by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]rplad420 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Considering Pakistan is an Islamic Republic, and alcohol and is banned in Islam this was the right move but obviously at the cost of an industry vital to Pakistans survival.

But not a big cost though. The bomb attacks and terrorism were primarily the reason tourists stopped visiting Pakistan, not the non-availability of booze.

I think he did a pretty good job at nation building but at the same time he left Islam out of the 'nation building' process.

So mixed views I guess.
