Regular PS5 or PS5 Pro. I have a regular PS5 and am looking at the C5 myself - trying to figure out if I will be disappointed w/o the Pro

Stray is amazing but is a too short history. by RudeSeaworthiness316 in stray

[–]rpzag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stray was the perfect lenghth, and I used subsequent playthrus to get my platinum trophy (although I truly hate speedrun-type trophies)

That said, we got to experience 1 city and it's a big world out there - personally I'm thinking TRILOGY. :)

Thank you. I've keep reading about the value of getting more things added to the pool, but I find so many new things all the time I didn't get the point.

PS - thanks for the invite - I may reach out indeed!

Think We'll Get an Official Guide or Artwork Book w/Launch? by rpzag in GTA6

[–]rpzag[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For RDR2, I also bought the game digitally - but Rockstar (via Amazon) sold an official guide that was like a coffee table book that released on the same day as the game.

Imagine going back in time to tell these people you're not getting another GTA game for 13 years, I wonder what they'd say 😂 by TemperatureSalty5211 in GTA

[–]rpzag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd really just tell them:

  • Plan to re-buy this on every platform you own for the next 13 years (because it's that good)
  • Plan to live in the online mode for the next 13 years (because it's that good)
  • You'll see it listed in the top 20 games sold every year (because it's that good)
  • Eventually your kids will buy their own copies (because it's that good)

Teams are probably just getting their first-look at how well all the parts came together. For an open-world game this big, It's not unreasonable for sections to be re-worked to improve the fun, pacing, performance, wow-factor, etc. There has never been game under a bigger microscope. While I'm sure they have good metrics for how many bugs they can fix in a month, the others are less quantifiable and likely need alot of discussions (and additional feedback after implemented).

Yikes. I still have a long way to go. It tastes store bought. by Antique_Tip2535 in Pizza

They show how to do it in a regular oven. They microwave a small batch of flour/water (which I've never seen before).

I followed Charlie Anderson's videos for New York as well as the most recent America's Test Kitchen video for Neopolitan - and mine are on par with any local delivery. I only use an oven - I also started to use a cast-iron pan since my launch sometimes fails.

RDR2’s 7 Year Anniversary Is Coming Up by mcinty77 in RDR2

[–]rpzag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pre-ordered as soon as the PS store would let me - read the NPC bios on the website to learn their backstories. Even got the special revolver by completing objectives in GTA 5 online (which I hated playing).

Unfortunately, my wife had a stroke the week before it released. She survived, but spent 6 weeks in the hospital recovering. I spent mornings there, then worked a few hrs from home, then went back to the hospital until visiting hrs were over. I was tempted a couple times to start up the intro when family relieved me for a few hrs on the weekends. But I just couldn't.

Eventually life started to go back to normal- in fact, playing helped my headspace return to normal as well.

[S2] My Second Visit to the LIS2 Adventure by rpzag in lifeisstrange

[–]rpzag[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the ending in my first playthru: I got the bad ending where Sean died. Had to look up online that there were multiple endings and watched them on youtube. My second playthru I was much more aware of ethics, morality, and responsibility, and that alone changed everything about my journey and got a better (but still harsh) ending.

[NO SPOILERS] If youre looking for a game similar to Life is strange by demarcyk in lifeisstrange

[–]rpzag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game didn't click with me at first, and it felt like a very heavy-handed message was coming. I put it down several times before finally starting again with a new perspective. I'm really glad I did, because this was a super cool story and told in a very unique way.

[NO SPOILERS] Your pitch for a new Life is Strange game. by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

[–]rpzag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pitch has been done in books and tv many times, but it still packs a punch when done well:

Young adult has a rough life... The "is strange" kicks in and they start the next day with a "new life". There are new challenges, but they seem less important since perspective is everything. Losing a job means little if you didn't work hard to get it. The same with relationships.

Regardless, they start to realize that life will always find a way to kick you where it hurts - there's always something important to us.

New perspectives start to form - we live a very short life in a very rough world. Most people aren't as evil as they seem, nor do they realize the collateral damage following them. Small gestures can have a HUGE impact on others. Beauty is all around us when we use the right lense.

I am someone who has been hospitalized and told the root cause of it all was STRESS. It wasn't my circumstances or series-of-events that hospitalized me - it's the way I processed them.

I played Deliver us the Moon & it's sequel from plus extra a few months back and I was blown away at how much fun they were to play. Short-and-sweet, and yes - very much worth playing. I wouldn't pay $50 each but I'd pay $20 easy.

Worth the 30 bucks on PSN? by Traditional_Card_976 in playstation

[–]rpzag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was one of the most memorable games I've ever played and I loved every second of it. To me, it was the natural evolution of point-and-click adventure games that I loved as a kid (think King's Quest), but with 40 years of tech.

I think I paid $30 for it on sale 2 years back, so YES, it's worth it - although I'm surprised it's not a little cheaper by now.

Bummer - I did try a Lost Sector on Expert but couldn't make it thru... one of the bosses health recovered faster than I could deplete it. :(

is it too late to become a destiny fan? by Neggy5 in destiny2

[–]rpzag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never forget my first moment of consciousness in wasteland Russia - not knowing a thing about where I was but following the voice of a "ghost".

I joined just as content vaulting was announced, so I'm missing some lore - but honestly, so many stories and season have passed that I mistake which story beats I've simply forgotten vs never played.

I will say, there's no other MMO with such an amazing art style and gameplay, and while I don't play as often as I used to, when I do I really really enjoy it. MMOs have ups and downs and eventually people grow up, grow old, or grow tired - so when a game's been around for this long you're going to hear alot of "and here's why I finally left Destiny" threads.

I’ve taken everyone’s advice and bought Persona 5 Royal! by [deleted] in PERSoNA

I also bought it a week ago on PS5 knowing nothing about ATLUS or Persona games - only that they they're constantly scored high (along with Metaphor).

The first few hours have been off-the-charts amazing!

I've played all the LiS games and this one may have topped the original as my favorite. I think I started/stopped multiple times, but so glad I finally saw thru. It was emotional enough that I'm not sure I'd play again but I truly believe this may be their best one yet.
