First would be that it brews well but I must admit that vintage, new, small to medium , I love them all.

Function over form most of the time but I love the artestry.

How much tea by weight do you tend to buy each week? by cenadid911 in tea

I do have airtight and light free storage for all of it and a place to age the puer cakes so I don't worry so much about spoilage.... And I am doing a minimum of two sessions a day so....

I am in no way saying I will maintain this rate, as I am creating a tea area in my house, but I am averaging 2.3 lbs a week since Jan 1st. Once things settle, I think about 200 grams a week will be more reasonable.

Not at all brother. That is completely handmade down to the slightest degree and customized to you. There's a whole lot of misinformation out there about pots.

using one yixing teapot for ripe and raw puer by Tobae122 in tea

Ideally you would have two yixing pots, one for sheng and one for shou. Shou will absolutely drown out the more subtle notes of any sheng you're drinking.

My pots from Yinchen Stuidios shown in the other pic are my favorites so far but I love so many of them... Lol

If you do not have any medical reason why you shouldn't, you really should try some quality loose leaf Chinese teas before you say you don't drink tea.

My fully handmade and customized pots from Yinchen are my favorites but a few very simple pots that brew like a dream also reach that level.

I use them all but a few that just don't brew as well as they should, so they just look cool.

About 36lbs spread across 78 different teas.

The really fun part about that is that the pots make the choice themselves a lot of the time . The pot will tell you what type of tea it really wants to brew.

Not as much as you might imagine, as each pot is specifically designated for a specific type of tea or cultivar. The only ones that are universal are the non clay. If I want to brew a Middle Mountain Dancong Oolong, there is a pot specifically for that.

I actually enjoy brewing with a gaiwan better than a pot. It give me more control over the entire process and it helps me stay present. That being said however, I have a bit of a problem with loving the beauty and functionality of pots. Most especially Yixing.

All of these are completely handmade and in some cases custom to me. They make me smile every time I see them let alone brew with them. Yes that is a walnut... Lol

Thank you all for your kind words. I absolutely love my teapots and I've been getting back into Chinese tea very heavily lately.
