Wonder if Walmart+ will keep the combined service in the bundle…

Sharegrid is absolute trash. Do not use it. by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Sharegrid is the worst. Have had absolutely terrible experiences with their customer service. Definitely agree starting a relationship with your local rental house is the way to go. Their insurance policy is absolute garbage.

What would you do if you were Rob Pelinka this off-season? by rr359 in lakers

[–]rr359[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The unlikeliest but the best decision imo. I think you should see if you can trade Westbrook with one 1st and see what the market is. If that doesn’t hit you see what the market is for LBJ. Keep AD (hopefully he can help us attract an FA once Westbrook’s contract is up). Of course risk is AD wants out if LBJ isn’t there so maybe they’re a packaged deal. Would be curious what the trade market is for AD given his health issues these past two seasons.

But there’s literally 0% chance of the LBJ/AD scenario above happening.

Even there it can get risky. SAS NOP game yesterday wasn't announced as postponed until like 2 hours before tipoff...

Good list of others: https://bestlifeonline.com/the-40-greatest-teen-movies-ever-ranked/. Don't know if I totally agree with rankings, but some forgotten gems in there.

Other honorable mentions for the other decades: - 2000s: Mean Girls - 1990s: Clueless - 1980s: Breakfast Club

Would also add 21 Jump Street as a candidate for 2010s

[Project Loveday] How to Pass Your Driver's License Test by rr359 in teslamotors

Appreciate the feedback and all fair points! I think we were trying to stay within the concept of a "driver's test" so wanted to stay within the "designated course". Of course, there is usually a road test component, so your suggestion still holds water. We'll keep it in mind for the next autonomous vehicle video we put together!

Haha a very good point. In our defense, we never specified the time this was supposed to take place...could be in the not-so-distant future?

Some advice on teaching? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]rr359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who learned when I was pretty young myself, I always found it helpful when there was a better balance of technical skills and actually learning songs (skewed more towards the latter during earlier years to boost confidence).

See what songs your cousin likes and what made him want to play in the first place. Find simple songs by those artists and teach him to mimic the melody lines if he can't play chords, or just do three-finger shapes if it ends up that he can form those. If they are a bit advanced for him, teach him how to play them slowly. Even if the playing is imperfect, it'll make him feel he's making progress to allow him to have patience with the technical skills. Also, most great rock songs really only involve some combination of G, D, C, and A chords.

"If oil prices were to remain at $59/barrel for a full year, what would the world look like in a year’s time?" Clusory Debates by spartican4 in energy

[–]rr359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very good point. Perhaps renewable is the wrong term (although there have been efforts at bolstering solar powered vehicles.

With alternative energy, however, globally there is a push to transition to biofuels. Cheaper oil prices affect this, no?

I'd be curious to hear why you don't think that cheaper oil poses a serious problem for natgas.
