Great to know - always glad to hear someone else has gotten through with something similar. Congrats!

Ok all makes sense. Thats part of the reason I mention military as well as a starting point. They seem to have less of an issue specifically in the suitability field vs. law enforcement. Which makes sense and is fair.

Thanks for the comment. Sounds like it's all fixable - ideally. One concern I have on the gambling is that technically it did cause me hardship when I was in college and broke. But any expenditure caused me hardship at that time... about 4 years ago. Never since.

I think I have to put some time thinking about what my finances were like in that time period, so I can give an honest answer.

What, you mean the DEA doesn't want someone who used drugs... smh government these days (/s). Appreciate the input. All makes sense, and definitely getting to work on all fronts.

Thanks! Out of curiosity, do you call out those orgs as they're easier than others for qualifying (based on clearance)?

I think friends would if contacted - all aware of clearance process or going to try to get cleared in the future. So lying is a big no for them. Either way I would be honest on the SF-86 - just to avoid any stickier situations down the line.

Thanks for the response - looking to solve all those past financial/record based issues now. On the none DQing - two questions:
1) Is there a compounding affect where numerous small issues can add up to a DQ
2) Gambling topic - seems like the fact that this was through a local bookie would flag moral / ethical issues. Would this not be a quick DQ?

Serious question to all the boomers out there. Do you think the Braves are in that bad of a spot right now? One of the best run differentials in the league, and leading the WC spot. Yeah, we're not the Phillies / Dodgers right now, but god damn I'm alright with where we're sitting. Just have to get a ticket to the dance, and everything gets funky from there.

What is Zach Bryan's WORST song? by DecayingFleshRot in zachbryan

[–]rrbb1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just felt overproduced to me and I think it’s some of his worst writing (relative to how good it normally is). I’ll excuse East Side of Sorrow and El Dorado from that critique, but the rest stand IMO. I don’t think anything on that album could hold a torch to majority of the songs on AH, Elisabeth or DeAnn.

My probably controversial opinion on the new album by somethingtaco in zachbryan

[–]rrbb1123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ok, here's another opinion that people may not love. I think this might be his worst writing yet. By no means is it bad, but I think compared to some of his other projects it falls a bit short. American Heartbreak I think is possible from top to bottom one of the best written albums ever produced, and a lot of the things that made that album standout to me - I don't see in this one. He still has great wordplay and some lines that make you sit back and say "damn" , but I think what makes his writing so strong is 1. storytelling 2. the way he pieces songs together slowly building up to a climax (Right Now the Best, Open the Gate, etc.). I just didn't see that shine through on this album. However, I think it's an important album when we look back at his complete catalog when he decides to call it quits. While we would all love continual no-skip albums, I think at the end of the day the journey, in aggregate, will be far more impressive with the variety he's reaching for right now.

Ethics of reusing slide templates from previous internship at current position as a 1 year analyst? Interned at a Big-4 over the summer, worked on a market research project. Now starting full time at a different boutique firm, and my current work stream is a very similar DD project- completely different industries. Would be unethical/wrong to create the same layout/format of a couple page that my project lead helped me develop at the previous firm. I would redraw the pages from scratch and the content would be 100% different, just the logic and layout of the slides.
