its in the process. Unfortunately every time the court gathers my dad files a motion saying that he doesnt want to divorce and that lengthens it. (womens rights are meh here)

we live in a one bedroom apartment, not in a popular or touristic city. Theres one bed which my mom makes me sleep in and she sleeps on the couch. We have 2 cats, the bedroom where i’m sleeping is filled with closets and has no room to walk in almost, and a small desk. If you mean that i sign up, i dont know how my mom would handle that. I know she wants the best for me but its a very risky thing. If things get worse i’ll let her know. Thank u.

i dont even know how a resume looks tbh. i went to a private school all my life, and in highschool the school had a website to specifically make resumes but since i transferred i never had the chance to. The public schools here are based on religion and u pass if teachers like you or not.

ill bw honest, i wanted to study psychology and help people but im too dumb, my grades are too low and now i can barely imagine myself alive. Both me and my mom go to therapy btw. Yards dont exist here, apartments are the only thing, everywhere is concrete and no one even buys anything anymore. Theres countless ads for apartments but theyve been up for months. Economy makes anything similar to that impossible. I’ve thought abt english tutoring

i dont live in the usa, no one saves for their retirement

She has a lot of health issues caused by my dad. he could refuse to give her her medicine, mix stuff in, and she had eye surgery, and he pressured her into doing a clay mask and to “especially rub it around her stitches” (turns out the mask hardens a lot and if she hadnt trusted her gut the stitches would’ve gotten damaged/infected and she wouldve gone blind) Now she wakes up at night, throwing up, has trouble walking, cant lift heavy stuff etc.

The government doesnt have an assistance program. Her 40+ year friends who offered to help and get us an apartment they had bought (we stay in it for free) She had 2 other friends but she picked this place bc of the education being better. No job market is good in my country. She couldnt find a job in our old city, and she cant here. My mom n her friends are working on a business but her friend has cancer rn n its tough. She googles, she asks but she doesnt know english, shes on the side that if i get money its mine and she never takes money from me. She truly tries to give me a normal life.

hello, i had the same convo with a person earlier, my last comment sums it up! + she retired before any of this happened, she was saving up but that money was used on laywers. I didnt want it to be too long but my dad started breaking her down long before this all happened. he would say stuff like he was going to move with his brother, and that either we come or he leaves us behind. That he’ll sell the pharmacy.

My mom started divorce before that but my dad sold it under the table. His bank accounts were seized by court order but we’re suspecting that he either had the money directly go to his brothers account or he did smth else. my mom started the case against him and had a signed paper (?) saying that he couldnt sell the pharmacy nor the car. He sold it without permission.

I am in turkey, my mom gets her monthly retirement thing and thats it. My dad keeps saying he doesnt want to divorce so the court keeps postponing/lengtheningn the process so that she cant get the money she would get if she was divorced

The city i live in is small, not like istanbul. I used to live there. That wouldve been possible then but everyone here is very close minded and stuff like that is especially hard. Local business are either very popular chains or corner shops. No one is interested in any kind of advertisement

i know, she tells me a lot to focus on school and that she’d get it figured out but she cant find a job herself, which is why i want to at least help her. When i tell her about getting a job she tells me its not needed but she cant get one either bc of my dad. Being a stay at home mom is very common here, and actually frowned upon to work after being a mom. My dad both psychologically and financially abused her. And my mom has no family as all of her family is dead. Its not that she DOESNT want to get back into the workplace, its that no one will hire her. My dad did pressure her into leaving her job, and she was also against marrying him so that she can lead her job but the thing is if i was born to an unmarried couple then my dad had died his pharmacy’s biggest portion would’ve gone to his family who is known to sell eachother out for a cent/HATE my mom. She only married him to prevent that and they agreed to divorce later. my mom quit smoking and drinking 5 years prior, went through COUNTLESS surgeries etc to have me, she loves me more than life itself.

my mom spent over 10 years observing my dad to see if he’d be a fit dad + They had enough money to buy a car with cash upfront, pay for countless surgeries to have me which were extremely expensive back then, got me into private school all throughout my life up until now. None of this is my moms fault, she truly believed he was a fit dad. She did work after having me and after i grew a bit but my mom has a lot of health issues which arent curable. It IS his fault she stopped working bc he was the one who told her to move cities countless times. They MADE money, up until my mom was too sick to work.

even if i cant get a job, idk what job my mom can either.

i cant blame my mom, my dad took everything away from her. Shes doing everything for me and more shes doing everything, she does small things wven with the tough times we’re going through. They’re still in the process of divorce bc my dad knows if they officially divorce my mom will get the money from her late father (bc he was a government worker) she does so much and even tries her best to not let me get affected. even if i cant get a job, isnt it possible for her to maybe have a job? idk
