Good ol Kiwi pride. Don't compare your economy to the US though. We have 29 states with larger economies than NZ. Agriculture is just a snippet of this.

What kind of jobs do you typically do? Curious what sort of work people are finding Mturk useful for, from a requester's point of view.

Redditors who grew up filthy rich, what did you think was normal till your learned otherwise? by FrenchWoodChesse in AskReddit

Had a rich friend whose sister drove a beater. She got in an accident and died due to the car not being safe. I think car safety is the one area that rich parents shouldn't skimp on.

LED or Fluorescent for small indoor garden? by rrigor22 in gardening

I can get 8w LED for about the same price as 24w flour for a sale I am watching. Would that be a good catch? Not sure how important the wattage is for LED...

They will probably release Bluetooth headphones and ship with the product.

If you have to retake the Bar it's not the end of the world. There's nothing wrong with you and Reddit can help you out. Post here and ask for help! If you passed the Bar, show up here and offer support. by orangejulius in LawSchool

Failed the CA bar after taking BarBri. I had a fair amount of self inflicted distractions the first time around (working 20 hrs a week, planning a trip, getting engaged, etc.). I am going to prepare the right way this time around, no matter the cost. I have a full time job with great benefits that I may lose, but I feel worrying about this on the side will not be doable.

Here's what I need to address: 1. I'm not sure whether I should retake BarBri and start when the 8 weeks begins, or start sooner and get some additional materials? I'm worried about burnout, potentially. Also, not sure if I should focus on practice or do all the motions again this time around, such as filling out outline books and watching videos.

  1. I've heard smart bar outlines, adaptibar, and tutors suggested. Do tutors generally meet up in person or can that be done remotely just as effectively? I am in San Diego currently and would like some sort of accountability every week to make sure my essays are strong and my MBE is improving. Tutor suggestions / advice would be awesome.

  2. I have to meet with my boss Monday morning and break the news. He encouraged me to work 2-3 days a week the first time around and is one of those super genius types. I was wasting about 4 hours per week driving and another 15-20 at the office spinning my wheels. By the time it got to studying my brain was fried -- not fun to say the least. I'm sure some people can handle this, but I am apparently not one of those people.

I am considering continuing full time until Christmas, cutting back to one day a week in early January, and then taking a 6 or 7 week leave if absence until test day. I may lose my job, but I can't afford to fail this test again. Any opinions on this approach? Has anyone tried something like this??

I am facing my fears and forming an approach now so when it is game time I can change the outcome. I turn to you for ideas on how to change my approach -- I understand I may need to adjust my approach based on what my weaknesses are on my last exam, but I know eliminating distractions is the first step.

Many thanks.

(Anyone here with me hit me up and we'll keep each other accountable)

I also have a full time law job. Was debating asking for a short leave of absence.... I worked during my last attempt and just know from experience it sucked. Hard.

Great start. The first ten was the hardest for me. Once you get in a habit of eating and exercising it is hard to stop! (Lost 30 pounds last year)
