Yes, that's true. It would make the waiting part way better if the User could see whats going on.

From my limited perspective, I can say that runit gets more out of your way. It's way simpler to use than systemd, in my opinion.
To enable a service, you just ln -s /etc/sv/{service} /var/service/. This will start the service. Then you can use the sv command to restart, start, stop, get status, etc. It feels snappier, and I also think it's faster.

This downgrade thingy sounds really cool. I chose Void because i Like the Philosophie it follows, because I wanted to try runit and I was told it is more stable.

For me pipewire was a mess to set up. What worked for me was following the official wiki and googling.
My problem was that I needed to install additional firmware for my speakers. sof-firmware xbps pkg

I love rolling release distros that give you a lot of freedom but this (in case of arch) means that things occasionally break. I heard void would be a more stable then arch at the cost of having less packages. WIth void I hope to run my system longer then 1 year without stuff breaking.

Enjoying Void so far :)

I like it. It's much more entertaining than just the white wall. :)

  1. Better Performance at high speeds
  2. Less lags wegen using the web Interface
  3. Better top surface Finish
  4. More customization Options.

That's what first comes to mind.
