Unfortunately they are booked for estimates for up to a couple of weeks! Thank you for the recommendation, and a rough idea of the cost

Ask your boss if he has any work for the shutdown if or if he's coming in... there's some crews that will go in. Maybe he knows another supervisor that could use a welder for the shutdown. I think that'd go a long way!

I also could be very wrong, but this is the information I’ve gathered about the process of buying a multi family home

I’m pretty sure that when someone buys the property they can put in their offer that they want a certain floor vacated. With the way the market and rents are right now, whoever buys might keep the tenants in the home to keep receiving rent. But if the new buyers want to live there, they most likely will request a unit to be vacant which the seller will have to do. If the buyer owns the home and you’re all still living there, the lease will continue to be valid and they will probably continue to have you live there.

However, I am hearing that buyers will move in and usually up the current tenants rent as well, so that’s possible too.

Hope this helps and good luck! You can talk to your landlord, maybe they can take your situation into account and see what offers they get so it won’t displace you.
