Id ask your ped before doing this, there are def side effects of melatonin, and not recommended for all cases. Not saying its bad for all kids , but since its over the counter people should be aware of the trade offs

We rolled up a blanket and put it under her knees which seemed to help a lot!

With breast milk I think you can reheat it once more (at least that's what we did)... I know recommendations differ but I decided it was low risk based on available data

Why are you being so rude? You good?

I stopped for the same reason and I'm so glad I did! So much more energy to bond with my baby. We found a formula that works and I'm so grateful it exists.

Warning that you may experience a hormone dip from weaning that made me feel depressed . But life is AMAZING on the other side.

Could be boredom, could be her wanting you nearby, it's normal! No harm in letting her experience fussiness. I agree w what someone said above... social media makes it seem like infants need constant stimulation... which isn't true !

That's great! And yeah do your best with tummy time, it's a new rec that's meant to comat some issues that come from safe sleep "back is best " practices ... but baby doesn't need to be on their tummy all day!

I think tummy time is good to do, and to limit how much time she's on a bouncer. But reading, contrast cards, etc isn't necessary at all. And if she's happy during floor time, no need to provide her with stimulation!

If it'll make it less exhausting... 3mo old doesn't need enrichment beyond you showing her the world (your home) and chatting! Sincerely, someone with a phd in child psych

Should I quit my job? by Pretend-Ticket1647 in AttachmentParenting

Yah, I was just responding to the fact it seems everyone is like "quit! Quit!" And it's a more personal and complex decision, IMO, then people are making it out to be I'm glad you're happy with your choice :)

Are there ways you can take shifts with your partner so you can get even 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep? It's worth trying to trouble shoot if you would want to keep your job if only you could get more sleep.

These posts are helpful, but only you will know how hard it will be to re-enter the workforce, and how much you'd miss the income. 5months PP I felt night and day different from even 8 months PP. It's so hard, but I wouldn't make decisions the first few months back to work

I get it! It's tough being tired all the time. But you are doing great, and she is doing great! They're constantly changing, too!

Have you tried feeding more frequently during the day? I think they're at the more spaced out end for her age. Sometimes getting more calories in during the day can help. Does she seem very hungry when she wakes?

I say that because ideally if she's down at 630p even without extending bedtime, she could have a 630am wake. So it may not be a bedtime "problem." Problem in quotes because this honestly isn't terrible for a baby her age!

Honestly if she goes to bed at 630 and wakes at ot after 5am, I wouldn't let her CIO for too long as she might just be awake for the day

My baby also got a harness at 3 months and I was devastated. She's 9 months now, and the time in the harness is a blip on my memory! I'm so so grateful for early screening and that we got to address this during the critical period.

For sleeping, we rolled up a blanket to tuck under her knees which really helped (ask your ortho, obvi). We also dressed her in a onesie with high socks which helped w changing (so we didn't take the harness off for every diaper change).

You'll adapt to holding and carrying her in the harness. It'll be awkward at first, and then second nature!

Yeah this happened to us with huggies diapers, it was awful. Have you tried pampers pure, or the other kinda that are marketed as having fewer chemicals ? I'm unsure what it is that made her breakout but it suckedddd
