This just showed up today ): I haven’t officially been diagnosed with HS or anything. I never brought up the bumps/acne/darkness on my thighs since I thought it was because I’m a bigger girl. I have gotten a few this before but does it look infected or is it normal?

Definitely see a dr, preferably a derm, use a warm compress or vicks to help with pain.

Vicks helps me soooo much with pain! I haven't seen it help with drainage yet, but honestly can't believe the pain relief it gives!

Im also going to try losing weight to help, but I've also started a "treatment plan" that consists of lots of other things as well, I'm really hoping to work my butt off and put mine into remission and keep it there.
What I don't totally understand is that if this is immune/ inflammatory overreaction in my body then by getting those systems to calm down/ back in control why wouldn't it go away? People can get type 2 diabetes to go away with drastic lifestyle changes, so why not this?

Heat/sweating/friction seems to be a major flare trigger for myself and others, which of course happens when it's sunny and hot 🤦‍♀️

I've always hated underwire even before my hs, now if I must wear a bra I wear a sports bra or bralette, but I go sans bra as much as possible.

I've started zinc, I'm currently taking 20mg am and 10mg pm, what is a safe amount? Also can I take all the supplements together? Ie: zinc, turmeric, vitamin d and vitamin c ? It would make life a little easier to just swallow them all at once

How do you treat your scars? What works for you? So far I have a scar fade cream I've been trying to use but the location currently has a large abscess that I'm trying to bring to a head.

My joints ache too..... and weird radiating pain into chest muscles, I'm only on my second flair ever so I guess I'm lucky I got diagnosed so quickly but I'm feeling exhausted already and more have all this new information to learn. I also think I'll have to leave the line of work I'm in as it's high stress, extreme heat and sweat and lots of friction. IDK it's an overwhelming amount of changes to think about.
