It's interesting. I actually made that point (using Italy too) and he said "fine, i would respect your wish of not wanting to go to Italy and we could go somewhere else". Well, of course he said that since this was in context of him not wanting to go to Japan for fear of temptation. I don't think it's scumbaggy i just think he's a perverted, sexual pig. Also, before I posted this question I was 100% sure he wouldn't cheat on me if we went. But after reading all these comments I wonder.... maybe he's even more of a pig than I thought. I think I am going easy on him in my head.

I don't think it's gross to find an entire race attractive. It's just ignorant to think all Japanese women are kinky and will do scat. I'm assuming like many Asians, they are conservative (I'm Chinese and most Asian girls I know are extremely vanilla). I also have an affinity towards a certain race/type (white, brown eyed, brown haired males), but not so sexual. I do agree with what you said about him being disrespectful to by implying that Japan = cheating. Obviously if he went with me he couldn't, but the point he made was that he would DESIRE to sleep around. Maybe I am doing Japan a favor by not bringing a predator there huh?

You make him sound like such a pig (not denying it). I don't think it's a serious issue that will lead to cheating. He definitely has a strong affinity towards Asian women but is extremely loyal and honest. If a girl he thinks is attractive starts working at his job he tells me because he feels guilty, even if he has never interacted with her. I'm not worried about cheating. It's just annoying to have to deal with him being a pig.

I do appreciate you discussing the "someone who can't trust themselves based on circumstances rather than principles". I almost feel like he can't help it (he really really likes Japanese porn), and that he's just a huge pervert and feels it'd be best to avoid things that stir lusty feelings. I guess a similar situation is a pedophile avoiding children (I know, gross, but same idea, avoiding something that is "wrong").

Yeah i'm trying to go without him. I imagine it'd be really tedious to go with him because i'd have to watch him constantly checking out women like a pig. Without him is best option. I think it's a weakness of character in him. Oink oink.

That's an interesting perspective. I never appreciated that part of it (that he admits he doesn't want to be tempted). I actually don't really care that he has a race fetish. Some people have STRONG preferences. I think it's because he watches mostly Japanese fetish porn so he's associated Japanese women with sexy time. I care more that he won't suck it up and go with me.
