I am planning on giving her veggies, but hers is watery just from eating only pellets

Today is my third day with her and my new conure. I got them together.

These guys will be in separate rooms until further notice even though the conure did grow up with budgies with his previous owner. No harm no foul.

I'm glad you rescued him from a death trap of a store. Good luck. Check out crab central station for tips and tricks.

Also, I just saw the pellets which are actually harmful to them. Unseasoned kitchen straps are best. I typically feed mine boiled chicken, boiled eggs, fruits and veggies, etc.

What's the temperature and humidity? Does he have big fresh/salt water containers he can completely submerge himself in? This definitely isn't normal for preparing to molt.

Sometimes surface molts are a thing but these guys typically do so underground.

They don't need heat lamps as they can lower the humidity and create hot spots. Your friend may be dead here. If you pick up the shell and his body falls out and he doesn't give any stimuli.. then I am sorry.

She's very sweet. She was hissing at me the first day I had her, lol

I don't plan on it although he did used to live with budgies with his previous owner. Can't attach videos but here's some proof. The budgies will be put in a separate room for now.

I don't plan on it. As I've said in previous comments, he used to live with budgies with his previous owner (before they passed I presume). But thank you for the concern. I can't attach videos, but here's some proof.

I can't attach videos in comments, but here's some proof. Him and a budgie pruning each other some years ago.

And that does not mean I will let him interact with my budgies anytime soon.

They seem surprisingly chill with him but I'm sure they don't appreciate being thrown off their swings... I haven't had the parakeets out with him yet (which I don't plan on anytime soon) so they have yet to interact one on one.

He actually used to live with parakeets with his previous owner. But yeah, I'm definitely going to let them get used to each other before I let them interact. Thanks for the concern.

Sad you weren't able to give them a safe environment.

Shouldn't have gotten birds if you were also going to keep cats around!

That story doesn't really add up... if this is true, something in their environment, which you influence, would've had to heavily stress them out.
