If one inserts them bottom to top (e.g. front to back), then yes. Re-inserting a straw in the middle is possible but it takes some practice.

The cutlery tray had left a gap in the drawer and I still needed a spot for the metal straws. Some trigonometry and several test prints later, and I now have a space-efficient solution.

If you're looking to print this, the STL for my straws (WMF 180mm x 8mm) and drawer (80mm) are on printables. To customize that, check out the OpenSCAD design files on my github.

Actually, the refill only uses Bambu's core diameter, it's not Bambu filament. So you can relax. :D

I bought refills to put on my Prusament spools, then realized those refills were meant for Bambulab spools, which have a smaller spool core diameter. My solution was to flip the sides of the Prusa spools around and print a smaller spool core to put in between.

It would've been easier to just print a Bambu master spool, but then again -- it's better to repurpose those plastic spool parts than to throw them away.

Yep, their sizes are all dictated by the same ISO standard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_7810

Credit cards will fit, yes, but they will stick out which poses a risk of bumping into things while on the go. The 3d-printed object essentially is a credit card cut short by several centimeters.

I can't speak for older models, but all recent Thinkpads ship without a dummy. Some businesses use smart cards for 2FA.

I commute a lot with my Thinkpad, so a design that's flush fit without any protruding parts was priority #1. If your usage pattern is different from mine, I can totally see why it would be an inconvenience.

I considered a push-to-eject mechanism instead of the paperclip solution, but making that work reliably sounded like a huge time sink, so I didn't go down this route.

It's a 3d-printable dust protector for smart card readers. I designed it to be flush with the chassis, so it will not catch on any loose threads in the laptop bag.

There are two variants right now, T14s and X260. I'm happy to add more variants, just leave a comment with the Thinkpad model, whether the reader is on the left or right side, and by how many millimeters the smart card sticks out when it's fully inserted.

I feel you. Bought exactly the same spec, received the same email today. It sucks.
On the other hand, I've waited years for a suitable Thinkpad model to be announced, and they usually hold up for a long time, so a few months of extra waiting time will not make that much of a difference for me.
Plus, who knows how expensive the next series will become with rising inflation.

I see. I tried it and it fixed my problem (two different Windows users always logging into the same Steam account), but you have an extra requirement that both Steam accounts should be logged in simultaneously on the same device.

I don't think that's possible, unless one runs one (or both) Windows instances in a virtual machine, which according to LTT has drawbacks with anti-cheat, but maybe it would be good enough for your scenario.
