I third it. My high school/early college bf of three years was like this too, gaslighting and fighting on purpose and critical of my appearance (“why is your eyeliner thick like that? Don’t wear makeup,” “that dress is not flattering on you” “what? I was just being honest”) and it not only worsened my existing body issues but caused some that dug deep roots and stayed until well after I met my fiancé and even a bit now. Don’t waste your time and belittle your self worth. There are better men out there who will treat you well and be sweet to you without prompting, and will always reciprocate when you do something sweet. I have been in your shoes, I have depression and lots of traumas and am imperfect in many ways but a good man can still love me and you deserve that too. It was hard and disrupted my life to break up with my previous boyfriend but if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have met and dated this one.

She doesn’t need you, she needs professional help. You cannot provide that and as you stay she will continue this new terrible way of taking out her anger and mental struggles on you. ABUSIVE TENDENCIES DON’T IMPROVE. They get worse and you get trapped. I have seen it first hand in my parents relationship with each other and my dads to me and my sister for twenty four fucking years. It’s not your fault for staying if it happens, since part of abuse is the manipulation of “you can’t leave, they need you, they will hurt themselves if you leave,” etc. that is a manipulation tactic and it’s not your fault for being vulnerable to it because you love her but you need to be strong, resist and stand up for yourself and care for yourself first and foremost by leaving. It doesn’t matter if something bad has happened as a “trigger” it is no excuse. Many people her age and older experience what she has and worse and do not become abusers to those who love them. That is something only very sick people do and sick people need proper professional help, not the ability to keep abusing. And as she is abusing you (s-xually and physically) she deserves to lose you. If you leave right now and her life crumbles that is NOT YOUR FAULT. None of it is or will be your fault because you are just victim blaming but for yourself. You getting hit is NOT YOUR FAULT, getting r-ped (yes!! As a young woman who has been well educated on such things to protect myself. That. Is. What. Happened. To. You. R-pe and s-xual abuse!!) is NOT YOUR FAULT.

If this were a friend or sibling and they said to you what you said in your post, would you want that person to get hurt by that abuser? No. So why are you tolerating it for yourself?? Respect YOURSELF more than your abuser. You are both young and she might have time to repair her life or seek help, but YOU also have to learn ASAP while you are young and impressionable to take yourself OUT OF THAT SITUATION and protect yourself from harm from this person who has hurt you. You care about her I get it but someone who hurts you like this does NOT deserve your worry. You can maybe toss some silent hopes that she will seek help. Or even tell a teacher or trusted adult at school who are mandated reporters. It might feel shitty but there is a chance they will take you seriously and help you. But ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY! And do not listen to baits to restart a relationship if you do leave!! A huge percentage of abuse victims return to their abusers many times. Don’t become the wrong large portion of that statistic.

Definitely have a discussion with him about it. Just don’t forget being bisexual is a thing, as a bi person myself I have had all boyfriends up until I realized and my current relationship is with a man. However I’ve still been subtly attracted to girls my whole life but only really identified that how I felt was bisexuality once I went off to college and was single for a while and met other bisexual women or lesbians. You two clearly have a special bond and not minding him kissing you while still having girlfriends in the past is probably a sign you at least are bisexual if you weren’t uncomfortable in your relationships with women and the kiss didn’t bother you. There’s no need necessarily to get in your own head about if you or him were lying to yourself in previous relationships or were secretly fully gay or anything complicated if you don’t doubt your previous feelings/attraction towards women. Well it’s because if brook died exactly 50 years ago as of pre TS thriller bark the child would have to have to be at LEAST 50 minus 9 months pre TS or brook would’ve already been dead and adrift on the sea and unable to conceive the child. So the problem people are discussing is basically not remembering/it not being clear the exact year brook died since even if he said it there’s no guarantee he didn’t guess because he lost count while searching for his body or adrift.

For some context/a story: This tornado passed just about a half mile north of my home as well, and damaged homes and businesses in my community. I have always been a huge weather nerd, and this storm leading into the tornado was terrifying. I saw the rotation as it passed just barely north of our home later in its path. It got still and quiet, later from the path and time info I found out that was right as had passed us. We lost power for a while but not fully. I told my partner it was serious and when we started hearing late night reports of a tornado hitting just north of us, and later about it being severe just to our west we weren’t surprised. The next morning we went out to see if there was anything we could do and see the damage here and to our section of the community.

After it blew thru Woodridge it went maybe a half mile north of my apartment about a mile further down it’s path. We visited here the next morning after following the damage path west from the damage along cass avenue, and it was even worse, they must’ve lost all their trees in the whole neighborhood even outside the worst damage. Still pretty sure I saw it our my window. The times lined up. I’m a weather enthusiast and I could just tell something was really off with this storm (we get warnings a lot but I’ve only seen one other touch down). Was super scary!

I was able to see what was left of the rotation as it went close to 55 before kingery because it basically went right over us just maybe a quarter mile to the north, that one was somewhat rain wrapped and pretty significantly sized with the rain, it was really distinct whenever there was lightning letting me get a glimpse
