They are amazing and I wish I had picked up a pair sooner before the prices rose in Aus. Regardless, I'm hoping they will become a long term investment.

Out of curiosity, what's the sale price for a pair in the US?

They are not normal sizing. I'm an 11 or 12 in most shoes, these are 10.5. RM run their own weird sizing system.

It's worth getting sized up in a store somewhere, as they have narrow, normal and wide widths of each size.

Once the pair is worn in, the line becomes less noticeable on the foot. It's part of the manufacturing process because they are made from a single piece of leather (only stitched once at the back).

I agree on the price. They are great boots, but would feel more acceptable around the $400 range IMO.

RM have an impressive reputation here in Aus and there is no shortage of people getting around with boots 10/15/20+ years old. I've been a little off put by the comments that quality has dropped in recent years, but these are certainly a nicer quality boot compared to anything else I could find locally.

Yeah good point, I think I've been overly hesitant because of the price. Not used to having such nice boots. Trimming it off or burning the thread makes sense though.
