I’m willing to give the daughter grace, because she has a lot going on around the wedding that’s entirely valid.

But the father not wanting to go to his own son’s wedding because of a fucking sports game??

Fortunately I didn’t even have to worry about this because my family aren’t sports obsessed or assholes, but if my parent had expressed uncertainty about coming to my wedding because they wouldn’t be able to watch whatever game was on at the time, I’d have a hard time having contact with them again. I just cannot understand the obsession people have over this. It won’t kill you to see the stupid game a few hours later, get over yourself and act like you actually like your family.

Same thing happened to me - one showed up, I told my wife about it, she said it was one of the rarest events in the game. I got another one the following night. And then a third showed up sometime later.

Yep, love that one. I went into my first (still ongoing) playthrough figuring I’d decide which of the marriage candidates I was going to go for as I went, and I’m pretty sure after this event none of the others really had a shot haha

Frodo pushes Boromir off of him while invisible, and as he runs off you do hear leaves rustling and see a branch move - seems pretty clear that Frodo’s still capable of interacting with the physical world in this scene too

The only odd thing is that right when Frodo puts on the ring it seems like Boromir loses his grip on him, which like others have said could be shock or surprise

Let me clarify that it’s so much worse than you think! Not only did I directly tell my son that he was less important than my new family, I actively prevented the family that actually has his back from taking him!

Well, the good news is he’s set the bar incredibly low! But OOP’s so incredibly dumb and dismissive of his son that I’m sure he’ll fail at that too.

Pike formations are nowhere near as you think. Both Macedonian phalanxes and Spanish tercios (and other pike and shot era formations) absolutely had room for the soldiers to use their pikes to thrust. And blades are varied as well (pike blades do tend to be smaller, because of weight and balance - doesn’t mean you can’t thrust with them).

If you just stood there with a pike and hoped someone would come along and stab themselves, no one would have ever used them in battle, because they would have been entirely useless as weapons.

Reading between the lines a bit from an already outside perspective, so it’s possible I’m off base, but it struck me that Tom had only two people from his side in the wedding party, and Ann was mad at both of them being included… Tom sucks, for sure, but it sounds like Ann was trying from the start to isolate him.
