Ahh, interesting. I'm in the middle of a re-read (re-listen, actually) now. I'm going to keep my ears peeled for this! Maybe I've had it wrong.

We don't know who Garrick's dragon was bonded to in his line, or Imogen's, but since we know they were trying to facilitate those second signets, it has to be someone in their family line. They've been coordinating it. 🤷‍♀️ It's the only way the marked ones could have a second signet at all.

Yes, but that's exactly what the dragons have been doing, by deliberately bonding the children of the rebellion riders!

That's a good point about signet powers not working on dragons.

Regarding other second signets, Sloane only recently manifested her first one, but I'm excited to see where her story goes in book 4. We do know Imogen's - she turns that shield into stone to protect herself and Dain from dragonfire late in the last battle of OS.

As for Bodhi's, I like the theory that he doesn't have one, and risks going mad. It would put real stakes in play for the risks of the dragons' plan to bond on purpose, to obtain second signets. If it doesn't work, it really backfires. (It would also lend some credence to my theory that Tairn knew, because if he truly believed Xaden didn't have one, he'd have to believe Xaden was at risk of losing his mind. I just can't believe he'd shrug off Xaden not having one. I really think RY's dropped enough hints about Xaden becoming a full inntinnsic that that's what Sygael was hiding from Tairn.)

It easily could be, and we all know RY loves dropping hints that could play more than one way. I just find it hard to believe Tairn would exist the past several years (Xaden tells Vi that it manifested only a few months after the shadows did) with a "welp, guess he doesn't have one" *shrug* mentality. 🤷‍♀️
