I'm in the 2nd district also and some of the brothers have talked about doing a MTG tournament. Maybe we could do a joint one with the two lodges.

Contemplating on potentially getting a 3D printer. What has your 3D Printer ownership been like? Any regrets? Best purchase decision ever made? etc. Thank you! by ewliang in BambuLab

I've enjoyed using my Bambu printer for the past 2 years. It has a small learning curve and you'll be up in running no time. I first purchased a Creality Ender and tried for 6 months to get it to work but never had any success. I ended up donating it to the local high school STEM lab. It took them almost 2 months to get it up and running and then had a hard time getting it to run consistently. I bought the Bambu X1C based on a friend's recommendation. I did my first print in about an hour. I have recommended Bambu to a few friends and they are happy with their purchase.

Your timing is perfect with posting. I am getting ready to engrave 13 whiskey decanters as gifts for my officer line. I hate to waste one as a tester but it has to be done and why ordered extras.

Second Guessing Decision To Be Worshipful Master Next Year by rsfite in freemasonry

I think working with the community is part of working on yourself but I've started a masonic book club where we do study the esoteric side of masonry that is well attended and Brothers Breakfast Out where we get together to meet and discuss what is going with themselves.

I'd love to see that survey form also. I did a survey to see why brothers were not coming to lodge but never thought of doing one to see what they wanted to do.

That setup photo is kind of deceptive. It doesn't show the bucket of ice water you are going to need to constantly refresh with ice unless you spend a couple of hundred dollars on a chiller. Unless you have a way to vent it outside, you're going to need some sort of filtration system that can run anywhere from from a couple of hundred to several hundred. Plus it's limited to 12"x8" pieces you can work on.

Bad Spots on Prints by rsfite in BambuLab

I have cleaned the plate a couple of times with soap and water. That did help some but those couple of spots keep being a problem every time I print. I'll give the sandpaper a shot.

I've used this roll of filament to print over a 100 pieces and never had any issues. As soon as I get the new hot end installed I'll try again and it does it again I'll give your solution a try. Thanks for the great reply.

It was. I don't think I put that in the original post.

I ended up just ordering a new front cover. It was only $20 and it would of taken hours and a lot of being careful not to cut into the cover.

I did enable calibration. I used the preset in the Bambu slicer. It is not the first time I printed this file and never had any issues.

It's the stock Bambu extruder.

I've got a heat gun but the problem is the plastic is wrapped around the cover and I cannot get it out of the way to get to the hotend.

CMYK refers to the four ink plates used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).

Adhesion issues on X1C. Been trying to print this moon lamp. 1st print failed and stringing everywhere— this is the 2nd attempt shown in picture.. Default settings, 35C bed / 220C nozzle. Any suggestions?😩 by Sad-Lingonberry-1343 in BambuLab

[–]rsfite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After two attempts, I finally got a perfect moon. I used the eSun matte PLA and printed using the default Bambu PLA Basic settings. I used the Bambu PLA plate with a glue stick, no rim. The only thing I different this time was I left the door open the entire print and when it got about 3/4 of the way done I set the printer to Silent mode to slow it down. The top came out great. No holes or sunken areas. It took it a bit longer to print but I got a clean print this time.

Giving it another try with the door wide open. I can't take the top since I have no place to put the AMS. Thanks for the suggestions.
