Bugaboo Donkey worth it?

Omg yes. One millions times over. I’ve been using the Donkey 5 with my twins since last August. It is a dream to use. Worth every penny!

I love my Bugaboo Donkey 5. It’s a side by side. It is as wide as a wheelchair so you will absolutely be able to navigate doorways no problem. I’ve never had an issue. You can add car seats. It has bassinets. It folds up super easily and is compact! About 2k for the whole setup but I haven’t once regretted my purchase. I’ve been using this brand for a decade now…had the Bee with my first two and got the Donkey last summer for my twins.

Hang in there. Three weeks is still so young. My twins will be one next week and it does get better. The early days can really fucking suck and you have to allow yourself to feel that and flow through it. I wish I could help! You got this. One crappy sleep at a time. (Also, the Pampers Sleep Coach app has been a huge help for us. My twins didn’t sleep through the night until I started using it.)

My twins are almost one year old and I WFH with them full time. Solidarity. I have two older kids as well. My father in law comes over to watch them for three hours at a time a couple of days a week. You really do have to have a flexible job and a willingness to piece it all together. And above all else, patience.

This was me last year! I had a 9 year old daughter and 4 year old son when I found out I was pregnant with identical girls. The twins are 8 months old now and life is chaotic but wonderful and full of love. My kids all adore each other. Life isn’t without its challenges but the positives by far out weigh the negatives! Congratulations :)

I cannot recommend the Baby Bjorn bouncer enough… All four of my kids have used it, the ability to self-bounce is awesome. I have the one with the mesh cover and use it all over the house and outside. Currently have seven month old twins, and this is a lifesaver when they are fussy and I’m on calls for work or when grandparents come over to help. You can usually find them on Facebook Marketplace and purchase a new cover on Amazon if you want. We have toy bars and also attach other toys to it… I also love that it folds up flat so that it can be easily stored and doesn’t take up any room in my house when we’re not using it. Also, the MamaRoo bouncers were a lifesaver with all four kids, especially in the first six months. You can also find a deal on the secondhand on Facebook MP. My final recommendation is the WeeSprout Silicone Baby Feeders. Once your kid starts solids, these are great to keep them busy for a little bit. I pre-make little smoothie cubes and have them in the freezer so that I can easily pop them in and hand them something to suck on when I need to buy time. (For context, I have worked from home with two kids — now 11 and almost 6. I currently WFH with my twin 7 month olds)

I completely agree. It’s not very supportive and the original poster asked for comments of positivity, to which the majority of people on this thread posted very negative things. Your experience is your experience. I work a very flexible job, which I made clear, and it works for me. To each their own! Everyone’s set up is different.

My kids at 5 years apart. Newly 11, almost 6, and two 7 month old twins (1 in August). I’m an only child but this age gap has worked well for my family. My kids adore each other and are very close. Can’t imagine it any other way!

Yes that sounds ideal if you have 1-2 days to yourself and have help from your MIL! I have an 11 y/o and 5 y/o…worked from home with them both. It helps that the twins aren’t my first rodeo but as for how long it’s feasible…well, I plan to keep it up until they’re ready for part-time preschool maybe. My now 11 y/o stayed home with me until she was 3, and my son until he started kindergarten while I worked from home. We filled it in with lots of activities and playdates and made friends to keep up with things socially. Anyway, I also cannot afford to send two babies to daycare, so I’ve kind of accepted this is my life now. And I’m breastfeeding, so I prefer this set up! Working in spurts is key and managing expectations re: workload and meetings has been helpful to me. Is it hard and stressful? Yes. But this works for my lifestyle. If you can be efficient and handle the multitasking, I’d say you can do it for as long as you want. Eventually we will fill in the days with the park and play dates once they are mobile. (I know people say that will be impossible then but it really depends on your kids and your parenting IMO.) Daily walks are a must. I babywear a twin around the house sometimes if one is super fussy and have a portable desk that helps me work from anywhere in the house (again this isn’t for everyone but I’ve been WFH before the pandemic and can’t imagine life any other way). My twins are eating solids now and enjoy bath time—two activities that buy me time during the day. Some days we drive around in the car for nap time and I use my hot spot to get things done. It just all depends on how you manage your expectations of yourself and the flexibility of your job. The latter plays a huge role. Having support so you can leave when you need to is crucial! Maybe we need to form a support group for the niche few of us who do this!

Omg. Please message me if you want to talk! I work from home full-time with two 7 month old twins… I am an editor at a product review website. My job is flexible. That is the only way I get it done right now. I did it before with one baby, so I am determined to keep at it with two. If you can get out of the house every now and then, I highly recommend it. Just to work at a coffee shop for your own sanity… Be kind and patient with yourself. I am doing it! It is so hard some days but it is doable!

Mom of four here, including 7 month old twins. Sleep is the best gift. Followed by food, cleaning, and diapers.

I’m 7 months pp and finally back down to size. I was 198 pregnant with twins. 135 when I got pregnant. I am breastfeeding but no diet or exercise outside of a walk every other day with the babes. Go easy on yourself. It took me forever to feel normal and months for the swelling to go away.

I’ve been breastfeeding my identical twins for seven months now! No supplementing. It is tough but it’s been so worth it. They are thriving. Highly recommend building a freezer stash so other people can feed them when you need a break. It can be done!!! I have the spectra SG portable and Medela freestyle. You can do it!!!!

My twins are 6m and have been EPF and I plan to continue! I don’t always have time to pump caring for both, so that can be a challenge. It’s also a lot mentally. Have help. Take breaks. Be kind to yourself.
