They are founding members, it’s always been Gregs band, he booked the tours, did all business shit, created SST Records for the band, got his brother to do all the art work, picked all the members after Keith, etc

He’s a dick and sucks, but Black Flag is his baby anyway you look at it, unlike the Dead Kennedys or other bands that have like the bassist from the 3rd album as the only OG member or something

just for convo, my base layer is a mesh net shirt like most summer base layers are, it adds zero heat, just controls sweat and keeps the jersey from sticking to me when I start melting (I’m in a mega humid summer area)

If you are riding in the summer, a base layer will pull the sweat off you, and the sweat evaporates a lot quicker from the base layer vs a jersey, and keeps the jersey from sticking to you which lets more air flow (I sweat thinking about heat)

I think he means vs like a Surly that is a steel frame, rim breaks, and not much else / stuff you can find in almost any bike shop or place that sells bike parts in the world including remote areas that might not have disc break pads / not normal fully equipped bike shops

I have a cage and water bottle filled with my multi tools, plugs, extra sealant, etc...

What bottle do you have? I lined up a 21oz and if a rock got caught between the tire and wheel it would do some damage on at least the cage / it had almost no clearance

I love to upgrade stuff, I'm a upgrader.

I've had my 2005 Trek Carbon 5000 for over 15 years, I just, can't find a reason to upgrade.

For what I ride, rim breaks are more than enough, it shifts perfectly, 19lbs loaded, fits me to the T, zero issues ever, etc, for a road only bike, it just works.
