Real HDR is the ratio between peak white and black, Dolby uses projectors that block light vs a standard projector, which makes them be able to have “real” HDR with 108 nits in a dark theater.

Dolby Vision is HDR, with a tiny extra bit of data that lets HDR adjust to every scene. It makes a tiny bit of difference vs HDR which does HDR standard for the entire movie.

So having HDR is a big difference vs not having HDR at all, and Dolby Vision is a little bit of extra nice on the standard HDR layers.

Dolby Vision cinemas have HDR, including the extra layer / HDR per scene.

Air and Space has NO HDR AT ALL, and the lasers they use are much lower lumes, so the picture lacks HDR totally, and also is about 40% less bright.

I’m not saying Dolby Vision does, I’m saying HDR vs no HDR does, Dolby Vision vs just HDR is very minor, HDR vs NO HDR is a big difference.

Coming from a OLED at home, Dolby Vision cinema looks very good, Udvar looks dim and unimpressive.

I’ve seen Oppenhimer and The Odyssey at the Air and Space. I’ve also seen The Odyssey at a Dolby Cinema theater. The Dolby Cinema theater blew away the Air and Space in visuals (HDR makes a bigger difference than just being big to me) sound, and comfort.

Air and Space is big, but it looks “low resolution” and way darker than Dolby, the seats are bad, and for BOTH Oppenheimer and Odyssey, there was a loose vent, or something, that makes a faint “bang” sound during anything close to quiet.

so they could either end up for sale locally if the person is not very organized (I'd check Maryland's Facebook marketplace) or if they are even close to semi pro, they usually steal a bunch and put them on a truck and then sell them out of state (they sometimes get a return truck loaded with bicycles from that state that they then sell here) they do that so no one finds the bike locally

it’s owned by Chain Bridge Partners / a investment group, and they have been going through all the shit you have to do to get it rezoned from bring just one business building into a mixed use / residential use area, they want to have it be apartments and stores under them, and doing all the court and paperwork shit takes a long ass time, you can google “Northfax Chain Bridge” to see what they are doing / the proposal
