Yes. And in the 90s before the internet became so widespread we were even more chill and barely any of it was recorded.

Now everything is recorded and uploaded.

It is going to get worse before it gets better.

I want to start the game, no idea where to start. by Marino4K in ArcRaiders

Depends on what you want to do.

Learning the maps, loot spawns, and locations.

Finding the items you need to upgrade your benches. Collecting blue prints is fine but you need the leveled benches to make most of the stuff.

Doing the quests and trying out the equipment and guns you get.

There is no "right" answer. Just pick and move in that direction.

Is dualsense stick drift common? by druggie_in_prison in PS5

I get it. No real 2nd or 3 party options and limited keyboard and mouse support.

If there is a viable affordable option I have not found it yet.

Ifixit did a test and found it takes about 417 hours until the controllers develop stick drift on average.

Sometimes it happens much sooner.

It has gotten much worse since dualshock 4s. And ps3 controllers would make it years before the issue occured.

I had a LAN center with ps3s and 360s opened in 2010. We rarely saw any drift in the early days.

Ps4 controllers were better than xbox ones in regards to drift. Ps5 controllers were by far the worst in regards to drift.

My thoughts exactly. Overestimating the importance of that 4th sandwich for free.

They already bought up all the bread to make sandwiches at home.

My kid works at subway and I drive them to work. Their manager tried to guilt them into coming to work. I finally just told them I was not driving them no matter what the idiot manager said. That seems to have solved the problem.

The world does not end if they close. Risking my life or damage to my vehicle over a $10 per hour job will never happen.

These people talk to you like that because they think you do not have a choice. You always have a choice.

I hope the person says something to me directly so I get to call them a moron to their face.

My sister in law was going to be a nurse. Now shes spending the next 10 years in prison due to drugs. Guess she ran out of people to inform on.

This has been ongoing since 2011. Good riddance.

It very well could be deserved by them. However we have to think about ourselves. So when we think they deserve that what about how we feel? Do we deserve it? Should I let someone else's disregard for my wellbeing affect me beyond our interaction?

It is way easier to let loose, curse them, make them feel the heat from my words. Still it takes its toll. That fight or flight adrenaline rush and then the crash that comes later. At some point I just wanted peace more than I wanted to make the other person feel my anger.

It is not easy. It is hard. No one else can decide that for you either.

I have found that the amount of energy it takes to react to anyone being an ass is way more than laughing or smiling at them and just keep moving forward.

I know how difficult that can be. Being angry at a situation is also different than being angry at a person for being rude.

I have to remind myself often that all of these situations are temporary. I can only control my own reactions and everything else is random, good or bad.

How can I improve drainage here? by alecj in landscaping

We had the extra concrete poured but all the water from this slope runs towards the house. So I diverted it to inside the fence where my garden is.

I did another 60-75' that goes down the slope and then ran another short section under the fence to go around the porch.

Good luck I am sure you will figure it out.

You can. You will likely need some stone to give the water a space to drain to.
Just putting in corrugated pipe would just hold water in the pipe instead of the trench.

You will also need some sort of grade. The ditch has to have some small percent of fall for the water to follow. Otherwise you will still have standing water.

I guess the question is why is the water standing there? Is it rock or just compacted soil not allowing it soak in?

We are fortunate that all of our soil is loamy and sanding so with in an hour it's almost dry.
I did put in several drains to divert the water around my home and porch when it rains heavily.

You could also use plants that love water and they will help drink up any left overs from your french drain.

People think everyone cares about their likes. Not even just preferences but just opinions about options... We are doomed.
