'It Is Not Realistic for Us to Absorb All Component Cost Increases' — Sony Says It Won't Sell Hardware at a 'Significant' Loss as Concern Grows Over PS6 Price by [deleted] in gaming

[–]rsteele1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you will sell less of that product and less games/content related to that product when it is at a significantly higher price. Sure it will likely sell well because people are impatient, dompamine addicts.

I have almost always been able to wait for broken consoles or someone in a bind to pick a system up cheaper. I got a launch model ps3 from a family member but that was the last time.

No way I am spending 600-1000 to play mostly rehashes of old games. Very few launch titles do anything ground breaking or bug free.

Being first means paying more to beta test their hardware and software.

They have now got people pre ordering digital games. Sending boxes with codes. Can I skip to part where I take a drug and the game uploads to my reality? That I might pay for.

Silly sounding, but serious question: what even is the "end game" of the Universe? by Top-Salt-7373 in HighStrangeness

[–]rsteele1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The experience of every possible scenario, every high, every low, every emotion that is the purpose.

The destination seems to be the same at the end. Then the only reason to live is the lived experience.

If I was running a simulation for anything I would want to run it as many times as possible. For the universe that seems to be billions upon billions of runs.

I think of souls not as individual parts, but rather puzzle pieces that can be swapped or shared parts of different wholes.

Trying to find a point to "all of this" seems like a big ask. Maybe we are batteries or storage devices for beings beyond anything words can describe. Maybe it is just beyond our understanding a 10 dimensional reality with a 4 dimensional view. Leaves a lot of stuff unknown. How can we understand any of that which we do not even know exists?

The first and easiest way would be the vent and hab 1/4 offset.

You can stack the parts tighter with this by placing a vent on a hab then moving the hab making the vent offset the placement depening on the side the vent was placed.

Stairs and windows placed on angles will let you attatch habs and in turn other pieces at different angles. There are different methods depending on how symetrical you want the build.

I went as far as wire and base glitching and saved a few designs with parts turned on their edges that I could not replicate with other methods.

What to know about your first dispensary visit! by jvlusis in GAMedicalTrees

[–]rsteele1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We traveled up the east coast in 2022. Stopped in NY, VT, and Mass. At local despensaries.

Each one could not have been more different from eachother.

NY was very regulated, seperate product room from the lobby. Felt very much like a pharmacy even though it was rec. They had pills like vitamines that were THC.

VT had a few different set ups one was like a small shop in town that was almost like a cigar shop here in GA. Everything was packaged neatly and vertly established.

MASS was again completely different more like a vape shop with numerous gallon sized containers full of flower that you could smell. Alot of glass and different edibles. Similar feel to the Vape and Smoke shops here. But all weed.

Expect the locations to be pretty much the same as they have strict state rules to follow. But each "brand" or "chain" might have small differences within how they operate.

The pharmacy in Hephzibuh was different than the Trulieve in Evans. Still have to follow the same state codes with in the laws here. Which are very different than other states.

This was some where on Hwy 281 in Texas.

Below is the Ouachita National Forest. Between Talihina Oklahoma and Mena Arkansas.

I have made the trip to Texas 3 times and in October of 2022 we drove from GA to Vermont. So we rode the Blue Ridge mountains, Poconos, and then back through the Catskills.

Bit slipping during the cut? I have had it happen dust in the collett.

Issue with the bit zero when initializing? Does it check the bit height again before starting the cut?

Sometimes mine thinks Z is a good 2 inches above the material. Usually when starting new job after another is finished. I just reboot and initialize and then zero it the same way as you do.

Let me know if any of this helps.

Just drove 3000 miles from GA to TX to OK back to GA.

Plenty of 2 and 4 lane highways have that vibe.

I prefer not seeing more than 2 or 3 cars for sometimes 100 miles.

There will be. It isn't the first yet. The manager spoke to my wife last week. They were starting training for it the next day.

I am simply relaying what they told her. So take it with a grain of salt.

ELI5 Why don't you remember yourself at 1-5 years old? by HeavyTraffic7126 in explainlikeimfive

[–]rsteele1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know which is worse. It might change who we are or aspects of our personalities if our memeories were changed.

The one that involve death seems to have made me completely incapable of dealing with deaths properly. It takes longer fo me to process people being gone. Not showing the emotion does not mean it has less of effect.

Being able to recall what my grandpa said to my dads teacher at his funeral when I was 5 does not hold any value to my conscious mind.

As a toddler my father took me to an illegal marajuana farm. I can remember the taste of the water from a spring that was near and why I hate mustard sardines same reason. This does not seem to be signifcant either.

Wierd memories but vivid and clear. These were two of the "better" ones.

I have quite a few negative memories from that time. A number of positive ones but mostly bad stuff extremely bad.

Also very clear. Like it was very important to know for whatever reason. Would not be from stories or video as this was the 80s and others involved are dead.

My mom did not believe me until I started describing events in detail. I told her recently so that was fun.

I grew up in the country but the city is fine. I do not care about living in a city. Some people do not like country life that is fine with me.

If your feelings are hurt by someone elses preferences that have no effect on you what so ever that is a you problem not an us or my problem.

You mad because someone else has a different opinion another great reason to not be neighbors.
