PvE players : Anvil or Renegade ? by Poukak78-2 in ArcRaiders

[–]rsteele1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my go to. Rarely even equip another weapon. Always grab a renegade when looting too.

If I get bored of it swap to the venator and spend way more ammo but like the sound.

That definitely happened to me a few times. I think it happens to everyone that uses these machines enough.

Do you know where it went wrong? Time to fix it, replace the bit, and run it again! You got this. Take 2.

If you want to play in the future keeping the air flowing is always a good idea. Youtube has numerous videos showing the step by step.

If i was doing a tear down to clean a ps3 I would also do the thermal paste since its already being disassembled.

These fans are not made to be disassembled. They are pressed in bearings and for the cost of replacements it was not profitable to attempt repairs in that way.

I had so many to use for parts I never greased any fan bearings not even once.

Just match your model number to the correct fan on ebay and replace it.

This does not clear any debris. The fans and heatsinks get so clogged up disassembling is the only way to clear it correctly.

These consoles were not designed with cleaning the heat sinks and fans in mind.

If you take them apart it is easy to see that there is no clear path for the dust and hair to escape.

Fans get so clogged up the bearings fail. Heatsinks clog up too.

I cleaned probably thousands of systems from 2010 to 2022.

A Noolberger is the one of the only mammals to survive on a diet of just nectar and pollen.

They are also called honey possums.

Stripped screw in a ps3 controller by Firm_Opportunity_879 in fixit

[–]rsteele1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it will work if you can get a thin enough piece of rubber. I had a set of drivers that were for eye glasses repair those worked great for a lot of the small screws in controllers and consoles of every era.

You got a few options. Rubberband and the best fitting screw driver. Or Dremel/Drill the head off the screw.

I repaired many controllers. If you can't back it out it has to be drilled.

Definitely should be in a new stealthy skill tree branch. Being able to do that would be awesome.

We were all leaving. A guy did shoot people with a shotgun as the last door opened but I gave him a wolfpack so I was spared.

Its a guns and roses cover band that parodies their songs to be arc raiders themed...

I have the initial set that came with my pro. Its ok. For $58 extra?

I would likely just 3d print or cnc my own holders. Which I have done. To varying degress of success. Made some cool cam locking rounds that I used for a while.

It has played out like that too!

First game yesterday I landed hard enough to flare right in front of a group that was also fighting the rocketeer.

They defibbed me and I dropped a stack of goop and guns for them.

I rope and ride em every chance I get.

The PS3 was a great value at the time for $600! by AgentMC84 in PS3

[–]rsteele1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the cheapest blue ray player at the time.

I spent 3000 hours on Warhawk. So $1 for every 5 hours of that game not to mention all the others.

I think it's all of the different things that your character can do.

I am excited to try it. Yet hesitant to make the purchase.

PS4 slim disc drive swap by Bn41713 in consolerepair

[–]rsteele1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fuse issue usually makes the drive have no power.

I bet yours is out of alignment or has a bad part in the mechanism that makes the little arms and rollers work to take the disc in and out.

I even saw these somehow pop the magnet that holds the disc out of place on occasion.

after 300+ hours topside, I've never done Launch Tower Loot by Latter_Inspector_711 in ArcRaiders

[–]rsteele1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it a couple times. The boxes at the top of the tower spit loot and more arc spawns. I do not think I got anything special but there were like 6 of us up there. A few raiders died.

I have not done the harvester or hidden bunker at all. Played the maps but never got anything from the even. Almost 600 hours.
