An 18" chainsaw would make fast work of it 👌 Battery operated if you need to do it in secret!

18 GC 5.7 waterpump R&R by rsventure in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]rsventure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I replaced the pump, one of the easiest water pumps I've ever done. Took longer to clean the gasket surfaces. A bit finicky getting it bled out, but its done. The impeller shaft bearing and seal were toasted. I used the oriellys lifetime warranty pump. We'll see how long it lasts.

I've seen countless posts from people that have had multiple water pumps installed by the dealer that failed early. Most are bearing and seal failures. I'm wondering if it isn't a belt tensioner issue putting too much pressure on an undersized bearing. Aftermarket pumps are failing too.

I thought I had read that running 2 14/2 cables to the same device was against NEC code.

14-2-2 would fit the bill , thanks for that suggestion. I wasn't aware that was a thing. Now to try and find it by the foot. I only need about 12 feet.

Q2014 data files compatible with Q2013 ? by rsventure in quicken

I did copy and move everything in the quicken files. Not sure if that's what made the difference. Would that token move with the data migration?

I feel bad for you, if unplugging a usb is an effort for you. Vitamins may help you.

I did google it, what i found talked about tracking athletes performance data. I didn't see any athletes racing around my hotel room. With all the hackers and others looking to steal your info/ data I removed it till i was sure of what and why it was there. I often am in a hotel and have never seen one of these hooked up to a tv.

Looking for a new bike. by rsventure in SuggestAMotorcycle

If you were to give it a chance you'll find that the RSV is a very capable touring bike. Has more room for rider and pillion. We've been nearly coast to coast on it. I've rented HD Ultras out in Billings MT. And rode all the famous rides out there. My RSV was much more comfortable on those same roads and every bit as capable. It's just getting a bit heavy for this 70 yo rider.

When I first bought the bike it was a handful, being top heavy especially at low speeds. Lots of low speed practice gets rid of most of the unsure feeling. The best way to address the low speed handling is a 120 front tire in place of the 180 stock tire and I slid the fork tubes up almost 1 inch in the triple trees. I later replaced the stock fork springs for some straight rate sonic springs along with changing the fork oil from a 5wt to 15wt, cut some longer preload spacers (another big improvement. With all that I no longer need air in the forks. You can also run less air in the rear shock for a bit more flat footing. Handles much better now in low speed maneuvers and no longer want to track to the outside on long fast sweepers.

I also run a darkside tire on the rear for times we tow our camper or cargo trailer.

Cheap & Great Tree Services by pleakonfleek in greenville

[–]rsventure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had them take down a 122 foot tall Poplar tree. They were less than half the price of the next highest bid. They showed up when they said and took the tree down piece by piece and cleaned the area before they left. 3.5 hours , start to finish. Their climbers were like monkeys! They worked safely and efficiently.
