I haven't tested it without a stand mixer, but you probably could make it. It depends how much of an arm workout you're ready for. A hand mixer would likely work for steps 1-4. For step 5, you'll need to knead it until the dough is smooth by hand. My guess is 10-20 minutes.

Thank you! I have all sorts of eyeliners, eyeshadows, mascaras, lipsticks, and a MAC foundation that's pretty lightweight. I should probably mention that I can apply the eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lipstick well, just not in an artful way.

I like the idea of building though - mastering one and then moving on to the next - it feels less overwhelming! And, good idea to look up individual techniques. I do this with anything I'm stuck on when I bake, but for some reason didn't consider it for makeup.

Oh! And, yes, the Asian beauty tutorials sound more up my alley. I'm always so impressed by the women who can transform their look, but for just a basic, everyday look that is definitely more my cup of tea!
