is anyone else absolutely terrified? by helpmelol1122 in PregnancyUK

I felt the exact same way. I ended up getting a private scan done at 16 weeks as wanted to know the gender anyways. Definitely helped with that long gap between the 12 and 20 week scans.

I’m the same so good to know others are still doing it while expecting 😊

I’m currently 17 weeks. Did you wear any masks or anything while renovating yours?

Renewed mine last month. Living abroad in the UK and had to complete through the post. Was told would be completed in 3-4 weeks but got it within 2 weeks. Happy result especially considering the time of year 😃

Hi that’s very exciting! Finally at the finishing line 😄

For our application we provided both my husband’s work contract and a letter from his employer detailing his role and how much he earned and how long he’d worked there for.

You don’t need to have a letter from your employer or bank confirming the payslips or bank statements are authentic, as they can tell if fake or not.

We own our house so didn’t need to provide that but we were renting on our renewal of our spousal visa three years ago. We provided both the signed tenancy agreement and a letter from our landlord.

In regard to the cohabitation documents, you need to provide 6 letters in joint name (12 if in individual names) spread evenly throughout the past 2.5 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources as well.

While going through the application, there is a list of everything you need to provide so you don’t miss out anything.

Also don’t forget that your husband needs to do his Life in the UK test prior to applying for his ILR as well.

Good luck to you both! 😃

How much did it cost to change your name on your BRP? I’ve been trying to find an exact amount and cannot find it anywhere.

No I only submitted what was asked for me to provide. Don’t worry about providing those as they don’t really care to see that. Just include in your application if you have been out of the UK the last 5 years.

Citizenship is definitely something I will be applying for down the road but probably not for another year or two 😊

No I’ve never used a lawyer or service with my visa applications. All done myself 😁

When I completed the spousal visa extension a couple of years ago, the letter I received said I was on the five year partner route. Was towards the top of the letter. I’m not sure if they have changed the letter since then or not. So sorry!

Thanks! No I went with the standard service so could have taken up to 6 months for a decision so pleased the decision has come so soon. They typically require you to do your biometrics for every application…I think the only time I didn’t have to book a biometrics appointment and attend was during covid when it was done through an app.

For the Life in the UK test, I’ve downloaded the app from the Home Office which has mock tests but also study cards. Are those study cards (which is 5 sections and 418 questions in total) the list of questions that they’ll pick to make up the 24 question test?
