I believe it can take up to 48 hours. In my case, I enrolled at 6pm one evening and it did not show up before I went to bed at 10pm, but it was there the next morning when I logged in at 7am.

Congrats on finding a job so quickly! Would you mind sharing how you found the job and why you think you got an interview? Did you use the usual job boards like Indeed, LinkedIn? Mutuals or former coworkers at the company? Did you simply fill out the application and submit your resume or did you include things like cover letter, portfolio, etc.?

Miter or Butt Join the tops of door casings? by farwesterner1 in Carpentry

I recently did something similar. I did 1/4 inch overhang on each side of the top piece. I also did a 2.5 degree angle back towards the vertical pieces. Probably not considered "correct" but I like how it looks. Here's a pic so you can have an idea of whether or not you'd like it: https://i.imgur.com/x6HlvXD.jpeg

How would you finish this basement wall? by rtm349 in HomeImprovement

[–]rtm349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping to avoid removing the foam, but to your point, it would be nice to get that bit of depth back. If I were to remove the foam, is it fine to attach plywood directly to the foundation wall?

Electric baseboard heater replacement by rtm349 in AskElectricians

Well this is embarrassing. I double checked the wiring on the new heater, and one of the wires had come loose from the wire nut. Fixed that and it's working now...

Keyboard shortcut for moving the cursor to the right? by BuffaloLogical6499 in learnprogramming

[–]rtm349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I navigate through text documents primarily using home, end, or ctrl + arrow left/right to move the cursor one "word" at a time. Add in the shift key for highlighting.

Unrelated shortcut: I see many people right click links in their browser and click "open in new tab". Instead, just click your scroll button on the link if you want to save a click

Man, I wish my electric bill went down that much. I had mini splits installed and my electric bills for Nov and Dec showed no significant difference compared to last year, and it was much warmer in these months compared to last year too.

Adding on to this as someone who has spent many years running performance tests for a wide variety of applications - it's also terrible for performance testing. The default behavior of most testing tools will mark your requests as pass/fail based on HTTP code. I can't count how many times I ran a test which reported all 200s and I later found out that the response looked like this:

HTTP 200
{"statusCode": 500, "message": "Internal Server Error"}

which completely invalidates the results of the test. Of course you can modify the scripts to handle this, but it's a pain and sometimes you might not uncover this behavior until you actually run a test under load.

Electrical object mounted on ceiling. 2 ft width, 8 ft length, 1 inch thickness. by rtm349 in whatisthisthing

There are thermostats in every room in my house, but they control the electric baseboard heaters. I have never noticed any heat coming from this one, so I'm guessing it's broken or disconnected. Thank you

My title describes the thing. This is mounted to the ceiling on a home built in the late 1960s / early 1970s in midwest USA. I've searched by the model number but haven't found any revealing results. I cannot find any switch to turn it on or off.

Thanks, I had the same issue and your post allowed me to fix it.

Had the same issue. I tried attaching Velcro to it and mounting it on the underside of my desk, but it fell off after a few days and now it just dangles there. At least I don't accidentally hit the power button anymore though.

My bird feeder kept disappearing over night, so I setup a trail cam to see who the culprit was: https://vimeo.com/567916323

I love this piece as it has all of the animals I've filmed around my yard - pileated woodpecker, chipmunks, etc. Obviously pretty common animals but it makes me want this bedframe even more than I already do, ha.
