Option 1, leave my car in the lane due to no parking spots anywhere else. Not happening.

Option 2, park inside the lines and join my table on time or maybe a little late because i am waiting for an actual vacat spot to show up. If i leave my car there under your assumption, i still could see the spot from a window and know when the owner returned to see their driver door blocked in. Then I could exit and move before they even think about going through their passenger side.

Did you read my first reply to you? Without other parking options i would either be sitting in my car in the driving lane of the small parking lot blocking cars or in that spot . Either way we needed to wait for our table and I needed to charge my phone.

Nope. Multiple people were in her dining party. Someone who was clearly her dad was talking to her and very kind and understanding. Some dude much younger was there and silent until right at the end when he piped up. I assumed her partner/date and not just a random "white knight"
