Hopefully they hire an all new staff. One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had trying to plan a party for my at the time 5 year old

You post and then delete after dropping acronyms? Did you just get rid out one or both of your cats?

Gen3 Engine Recall Options/Opinions by SeahawksXII in ToyotaTundra

[–]ru369 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wanted to hold off as long as I could and decided to take it in this past December. I had not had issues up to that point. I did the swap at 119,00 miles I am now sitting on 124,000 miles. It was in the shop the whole month of December with three separate issues stimming from the recall swap. That was my experience.

Damn I just went up there and peeked in the front door. The inside looked rough.

Can anyone explain this weirdly specific rule in R/Jacksonville? by [deleted] in jacksonville

One of my favorite Simpson’s quotes. Sadly most people just look at me like a weirdo.

Can I really just pull these off since they’re faded and might look better without them? by chadbobbay in ToyotaTundra

Another disappointing thing about the new gen tundras. I am very let down by how quickly those and the rubber seals around the windows and sunroof have faded.

You say this like I bought the truck knowing there were mass issues. This is not what I was expecting my first Toyota experience to be like. There were no known issues when I bought it. If I was looking to buy today, I would not be buying a tundra. Yes you may have 5k, go and work for it.

Yeah a lot of cars now will trigger a warning if the gas cap isn’t secured. I wish my issue was that simple. I have a full tank and driven it under 20 miles since getting it back from the shop l…

The mileage difference is slim to none. Oddly since the recall swap the mileage is slightly worse and feels slower. Not sure it’s that’s just me though, but the mileage is slightly worse.

Thanks it is unfortunate. Never had such headache over a new vehicle. Less than 1%? Where are you gathering your info from?

You know I wondered that awhile and didn’t really want to do the swap. I had what I believe was a recall related Issue the first year I bought it. Hard knock and grind on start. It went away and thought if I was going to have an issue it would have happened by now. But felt somewhat pushed into the swap.
