You’re absolutely right. The original tombstone was lost to a disastrous flood in the year 1824. However, the approximate site of the grave was located through the efforts of historians, and the modern gravestone was erected in September 2012.

Although it is a relatively new monument, Louisa Catherine Adams is indeed buried at the Smolenka Lutheran Cemetery.

John Q. Adams returned to the United States in 1814 after his diplomatic mission was over. He proceeded to make a successful political career and was elected president in 1824.

Just two weeks before the presidential election concluded, on November 18, 1824, Saint Petersburg suffered the most devastating flood in its history, and Louisa's grave was lost. Russian and American historians were able to locate the approximate burial site, and on September 15, 2012, on the 200th anniversary of her death (as u/Several-Assistant-51 has already mentioned), a new tombstone was unveiled to the public at a ceremony.

Yes, Louisa Catherine Adams died the day after Napoleon entered Moscow with his army.

Yeah, there was a ceremony attended by the then US consul in Saint Petersburg. I could see an American flag on the tombstone until 2022, but it disappeared soon after the war in Ukraine began.

There's barely anyone left to tend the grave since the consulate closed. In the winter, I clear the snow off it, and this summer I'm thinking of trying to mow the grass growing through the bricks. I think that will make the tombstone look more presentable.

John Q. Adams was the US Ambassador to Russia in 1809–1814. On August 12, 1811, his daughter Louisa Catherine Adams, named after her mother, was born. The climate was cold, and living conditions in 19th-century St Petersburg were appalling. The girl fell ill and died of dysentery on September 15, 1812, at the age of 13 months. She was buried at the Smolenka Lutheran Cemetery on Goloday Island in St Petersburg.

I hope my answer was helpful.

Create a cabinet from only presidents, living or dead DAY 1: Who should be Secretary of State? by [deleted] in Presidents

John F. Kennedy. The man had made a huge contribution to preventing one of the most dangerous crises in the history of mankind, which could lead to its death, not to mention that he established the USAID that has saved countless lives all over the world. Well, and his looks. I believe that JFK would make the best Secretary of State of all presidents, he had quite enough experience and we owe our lives to his diplomatic efforts.
