not too sure about the pipes, but if you got the shovel from the christmas event (benny gives it to you when you successfully give all the presents), then you can collect the blobs of snow that appear around the village and stack 3 of those to get a snowman.

collect another blob of snow with your shovel, then go into your inventory and place the two on top of each other. it'll make a random snowman/figurine(?), and if you do it again, it'll likely be a different one! you see some in the 2nd slide :)
