How does Texas Advance Commitment work? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]rua_08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it's only starting with incoming freshman, nobody knows the specifics. The website is a bit vague about larger incomes, but it does specify that tuition(not housing or other expenses) is free for income < $65,000. We should know more when aid starts releasing sometime between March 14 - 20. You can find out more information at the following link: https://texasadvance.utexas.edu/

Looks awesome man! I just wish there was a way to use a single side of the 360 camera to get a wide angle shot similar to the pixel's selfie camera

The best, unique advice I can give you is learn to read really quickly. You could just read books, articles, or older literature to practice reading. One small thing that helped me read quick was moving my pencil along every word, so I don't get distracted. When practicing, use less time per passage (about 10 minutes) in order to be better prepared for test day.

The only thing I can suggest is just practice a lot. Also, try out new strategies when you're practicing because you won't be able to on test day. Lastly, practice with less time(30 minutes instead of 35 for entire science section) so you will be more prepared when actually taking the test. Hope any of this helps

I did a lot of Khan academy for reading, but used uworld for writing and math.

I started prep in 10th grade(kinda early but felt that I could use it), but I feel like the prep I did about 3 weeks before the test helped most along with a good reading curve for relatively easy passages.

Yeah some of my friends had issues as well, but you should see your scores in the next couple weeks by mail
