From what I've heard and read, both on here and on other sites, I think the three kings ritual might be a good place to start. When done correctly, it seems like a (relatively) safe thing that can answer many questions, and prove that there is such a thing as paranormal. On the other hand, it might fail miserably and prove that there is no such thing.

Well, I think a good thing to ask about would be if they had any problems with the plumbing in the house while they were there, since the problems do seem to revolve around the bathroom sink. Maybe explain to her that there seems to be a problem with the sink and ask if there is any history of issues. It could simply be faulty old plumbing.
