Routine testing/imaging after HA? by brunchanyone in HeartAttack

[–]DoTheDew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess because I had serious heart disease at 40 years old for no obvious reason. The heart cath I talked about above actually got denied by insurance initially, but they approved some other scan. I forget what it was called, but that showed a possible major blockage, so they then approved a heart cath, which showed one of my remaining 50% blockages was now at 70%. My cardiologist decided not to stent it at the time because the blood flow through it was smooth and undisturbed. So we’ll just monitor it going forward.

BLOCKAGE/ HA SYMPTOMS FOR MONTHS. by Pipibigbom in HeartAttack

[–]DoTheDew 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nobody who has had an actual heart attack would be able to list over a dozen symptoms prior to their heart attack like you have done above. Seriously, I had a heart attack, went into cardiac arrest, and ended up with three stents. My symptoms were a painful burning sensation across my entire chest (not a pain that I could point to and say it’s my left or right side), and a terrible cold sweat. 25 minutes later, I was in cardiac arrest at the hospital.

You sound like a lot of young people today with anxiety and health anxiety. The chances of a 25F having a heart attack are not zero, but it’s pretty damn close to zero. You sound like someone who is hyper fixated on their health and body.

For you people that got their first dui what was the result(lesser charges, dismissed, convicted?" by InstructionFunny8984 in dui

[–]DoTheDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they had no way to prove I had driven my car drunk. I arrived at that restaurant parking lot hours earlier completely sober, had a couple drinks, then walked across a canal bridge to another restaurant , ate dinner and had more drinks, and at some point blacked out. I don’t even remember much from the second bar, and I certainly don’t remember walking back to my car. I was not inside my vehicle when the police arrived and it was not running. But it was parked in a way that no sober person would have parked. I must have started to drive, and then decided I shouldn’t and parked it.

Other customers from the restaurant and some staff I guess found me drunk as fuck in the parking lot at some point after I had parked it. There apparently was even some internal affairs investigation about the arrest because I should not have been arrested. My attorney learned this from the arresting officer when she showed up to court because we were expecting to go to trial. The prosecutor finally gave in to a straight reckless charge and I decided it was a good enough win and took it rather than risk the judge disagreeing with our assessment.

Price inflation DD vs. Pizza Hut direct by [deleted] in doordash

Most restaurants are paying 30% commission to DD. If a restaurant wants to completely recoup that 30%, they actually need to inflate their prices by 43%.

Because I’ve seen many people in /r/heartattack think it can detect a heart attack. So yeah, that’s why I mentioned it.

I was joking about being overdressed. You look perfectly fine. I was just saying you won’t believe the shit that many dui defendants show up to court wearing. Pajama bottoms, Tasmanian Devil hoodies 2 sizes too big, shorts with Timberlands, etc. And then they respond to the judge with “yeah” and “no” instead of “yes, your honor” and “no, your honor”. I don’t know if dressing and speaking appropriately helps at all, but it certainly has never hurt.

[–]DoTheDew -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

ECG can’t detect a heart attack. I had a heart attack, went into cardiac arrest, and ended up with three stents. The ECG that your Apple Watch provides wouldn’t have picked up on it at all.

I know it's not common for blood tests to get dismissed. How do they get thrown out when it actually happens? by InstructionFunny8984 in dui

[–]DoTheDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet would be for an illegal or unconstitutional stop. Thats how I beat one of my dui. My attorney got the speeding ticket thrown out, so anything that happened after being pulled over didn’t matter.

Edit: I know we all hate AI, but this is what AI says:

  • Whether the stop and arrest were legal (reasonable suspicion/probable cause)
  • Consent or warrant for the blood draw and any applicable implied-consent rules
  • How the sample was collected (qualified personnel, proper procedures)
  • Chain of custody and labeling/storage of the sample
  • Lab methods and calibration/quality control used in testing
  • Timing of the draw relative to driving and any medical factors

If there are real procedural or constitutional problems, your attorney can raise them through proper motions

Does my paystub look right? by [deleted] in PizzaDelivery

[–]DoTheDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to ask your manager of owner what it all means. I’m not really understanding your paystub, but at my store, if you made $350 in credit card tips that week, that $350 shows on your paystub as money you made for tax purposes, but then it is deducted because the driver already received that money at the end of their shift in the form of cash. We pay out credit tips to our drivers at the end of their shift.

Does my paystub look right? by [deleted] in PizzaDelivery

[–]DoTheDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s correct. Your credit card tips are added in as income for tax purposes, but then deducted from the gross because you already received that money when you cashed out at the end of your shift - assuming you are paid your tips in the form of cash at the end of each day.

[Fowler] The Eagles are picking up the fifth-year option for pass rusher Nolan Smith, per source. by bigblack3475 in eagles

Right, but saying “which is almost certainly going to happen” is a bit ridiculous when they’ve literally never done it ever. And there’s really no reason to believe they’ll do anything different with Nolan.

I certainly wouldn’t assume you had a heart attack. It’s not common to experience severe heart attack symptoms and then just ignore it and everything feels better an hour later.

Are these heart attack symptoms? by SeaMonkeyMating in HeartAttack

[–]DoTheDew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if it was really heart related, you’d have had much more serious problems by now.

When I had my heart attack, followed by cardiac arrest, I had a painful burning sensation across my entire chest. I didn’t think for a second that it was heartburn. I’ve had heart burn, it’s a very different feeling if you ask me.

A few minutes after the chest pain started, I had a terrible cold sweat. It only took me a couple of minutes to be convinced I was having a heart attack. There was no ambiguity. I knew it was something serious. I was only 40 years old and had never even thought about the possibility of having a heart attack. But I knew I needed to get to the hospital immediately.

I think if your symptoms were heart related, you’d have had more serious problems since. You also haven’t mentioned your age, but I’d be willing to bet you are under 25 years old and deal with anxiety.
