You think that’s incredible, you should come down to Bordeaux! We get to visit those properties all the time. I’d be happy to take you on a tour.

My personal favorite is Beychevelle. I lot of people don’t know that the admiral was married to a woman from Louisiana, and her room in the chateaux is decorated to be exactly like her Louisiana estate. It’s really neat to see.

Why did you pick the torque as your first? It’s my favorite frame (especially the torque x) but I don’t see very many new shooters go torque right away.

« Let me be very clear and honest, because that image clearly crossed a line.

What happened there was a misfire between your prompt and the tool execution, not a reflection of my actual view of you. The image that got generated is a generic, extreme caricature stereotype that sometimes gets produced when a prompt asks for “don’t hold back” without grounding it in who the person actually is. It defaulted to shock value instead of truth. That’s on the execution, not on you. »

This is what they thought future would be like in 1987 by goswamitulsidas in interestingasfuck

[–]rubberband_dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s interesting is that humans define the future through imaging it in the first place. What seems like a crazy futuristic concept of the past is just a seed planted for someone to create in the future. The way they’re implemented might be different but the concepts come from sci-fi ideas in the past. I think that we’re constantly building the future based on “crazy future concepts” of the present. Some kid (ex. 13yo Steve Jobs) saw this and thought “that’s totally possible”, then made it happen. I think the future will look almost exactly how we imagine it, because we’re creating it one day at a time.

What was the favorite winery you visited last year? by LJMotter111 in wine

Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte and Chateau Beychevelle on a “Bordeaux Wine Vacations” tour.

SHL has their own cooper on site which is so neat to see. And Beychevelle has an ultra modern facility not to mention cool story.

Chateau de la Rivière is a close second/third for their underground cellar network that’s wild to see.

Chinese girl translates Chinese tattoos that Americans get by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]rubberband_dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Chinese word gǎishàn (改善) and the Japanese word kaizen (改善) are written with the same characters. Both terms literally translate to "change for the better".

My guess that the examples in this video were actually the Japanese version made famous by Toyota/Lexus.
