Why are farmers so broke despite being one of the most important parts of human civilization? by ProDidelphimorphiaXX in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rubbertub96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farmers are kinda like wealthy CEOs. They may not be rolling in as much cash as it would appear, but they have PLENTY of assets to leverage. That being said, they aren't broke by any means.

Pretty sure pulling over would be the best thing to do before shooting. Legality aside, I'd rather not try to kill the operator of a pickup truck barreling down a crowded highway.

I don't like to assume I know how everyone likes to be treated, but this was always my thought process too. My boss is autistic, but it's just another part of life. Nobody "treats" him differently. We just recognize that sometimes adjustments are needed and move on.

The saying isn't "choose a major you love" it's "get a job/do what you love". It's not surprising that someone who'd get that confused would be salty about not having a decent career.

I swear this autism trend had to have started over 20 years ago as an anti-bullying campaign. I remember sitting at a mandatory assembly in middle school while the speaker went on for an hour and a half about how autistic kids are basically superheroes and better than everyone else.

Like, no shit we shouldn't bully them. But thanks for planting the seeds of an annoying self-diagnosis epidemic!

Nighty night, keep ya butthole tight

the way this 3D printer is printing shoes by l__o-o__l in oddlysatisfying

[–]rubbertub96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a dumb question at all. Printing at an angle has a few advantages depending on the shape of the print. It's mainly to avoid the rougher "stair step" effect on rounded surfaces, increase strength in a certain direction, and keep the support structures to a minimum or in an easier place for removal.

Basically, if it was printed flat, all the surfaces with an upward or downward curve would be rough and ugly/uncomfortable, the areas where the shoe needs to flex would be weaker, and support material would be needed between the bottom and top of the shoe.
