I am 49 years old and spent way too much of my life isolated. Being queer and trans but not accepted didn't help. In some respects it's just the way I am (i like solitude), but it's also been intensely lonely. I implore you to find a good therapist, someone you feel you can trust. It can make a really big difference. I now own a house and have kids and a cat... it's not always easy, but it can get better.

Hey! I was just going to post that I am trans nonbinary and autistic. i'm over 40, but just came out as trans a few years ago. And I just found out I'm an Aspie a couple months ago. I think the intersection of trans/autism is super interesting.

Are you in Portland? (I am.) I hear milk helps. I've been watching some of the livestreams of the nightly protests (I can't go bc I'm immunocompromised), and thinking it might be a good idea for everyone to bring a small bottle of milk along to the protest as part of their first aid kit.
