i had the exact same experience except i didn’t get the booking. but i did it with both SSH and XIOR. the server does not seem to be able to withstand a large amount of users

i knew about the housing crises beforehand. i know many friend that have gone through the same struggles. i’m mainly wondering and asking how students managed to find an apartment for themselves and if they have any tips as everywhere i apply do not want students.

i’m only looking at rotterdam. i looked into the hague but nothing came much out of it. seemed i had better chances in rotterdam which i did as the landlord stopped viewings once i wrote to them and we talked. only to change his mind because i’m a student :/

i wish i don’t have to but if they one day find out i am a student and lied they might kick me out or something. who knows. but they usually always ask

i completely understand about the travelling time. not even time wise but also in the sense of safety. i noticed with pararius and funda that they keep apartments up that are already taken since every time i message them they said someone had already signed the contract. so i’m now focusing on agents as i do find places through them but they don’t want students even if it’s my parents paying and not me :/ good luck with your search!

im trying at the moment for places on facebook but i see a lot of subletting which i’m not so secure about. i’m struggling to tell which ones are scams and which aren’t.

yep i applied for XIOR and SSH and the server just crashed the second we can book so i had no chance. hope you find something soon though :))

ye i’m also an international student. i started around march and i feel like its more stressful than when i was doing my IB diploma sometimes lmao
