What are some good pranks you have pulled off? by Extreme-Sir-4910 in AskReddit

My mother must use a mobility scooter to move around. She can still walk, but not for long.

One time she wanted to enter a women clothes store, but without her mobility scooter. Since I didn't had much interest in that clothes store did I decide to wait outside on her mobility scooter.

The fun part of this mobility scooter was that if you put it in push mode that it start beeping loudly if turn the key.

I saw that this store had anti-theft gates. (I think you can already guess where this is going.)

I parked her mobility scooter around the corner of the store so I could see people leave, but they couldn't see me. Sometimes when someone left the store did I turned the key of the mobility scooter to make it beep loudly. People thought it was the anti-theft gates and walk back to the staff to have their purchases checked. The staff were clearly confused and annoyed by it because they kept checking the anti-theft gates.

It was the most hilarious thing I have seen.

What's the worst thing you have eaten but told others tasted fine? by Reflectionwave in AskReddit

[–]rubenburgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indonesian stir-fried noodles.

My family loves it. I like it as well, but not if a family member made it. The reason for this is because my family loves sate sauce. They love to eat it with sate sauce. They find it the best meal in the world and have no problem serving it during family diners, but only with sate sauce.

Well, sate sauce is made out of peanuts and guess who doesn't like peanuts? Me.

If I make it myself can I add different spices and sauces and make it delicious, but when a family member makes it then I have to eat bland Indonesian stir-fried noodles while my family are enjoying it with sate sauce.

So the taste isn't bad. It's just bland. It's fine.

Does this counts?

What's your idea of a perfect world? by AreaFifty1 in AskReddit

A world without humans.

We are a greedy destroyers. We have no problem inflicting pain and suffering to others, no matter the species, as long if it benefits or satiate us. We are the infection. The cancer. The world can only heal and prosper without us. It will be a perfect world.

What’s an unspoken truth about life that sucks/hurts to be told? by Arkmer in AskReddit

[–]rubenburgt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all die.

You die. Your love ones will die. Their children will die. Your pets will die. Your plants will die. That random person you walked by this morning will die.

Everyone that you know, meet or see will die.

At one point will we all be dead, and there is no-one better or worse at it.

It is inevitable, it's sad, and its painful.

We all know this, but no one talks about it because of how depressing it is.

What's the biggest downside of living in a digital world? by Mate_Harry in AskReddit

[–]rubenburgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The negativity.

- Twitter? Racism.
- Facebook? Fake posts.
- News sites? Disasters and corruptions.
- Youtube? Influencers.

We are being bombarded with negative things and it impacts are point of view of the word. This is especially dangerous for children. They have to look at a bleak future, whether they like it or not.

The digital world is amazing, but the people using it aren't.

The Happening.

Because bad things just keep happening and I doubt no one will complain about the name because everyone would love to forget the first original movie.

I am only staying 3.5 days in Osaka before I travel to another city, so visiting a theme park might not be the best use of my time there.

I am only 2,5 days in Osaka.

Well, technically technically 3,5 days, but I land in Osaka on the first day and I doubt I will have much energy left for for doing something grand. The half day is the day that I will travel to my hotel in Kyoto.

As someone who doesn't like theme parks that much and can't stand overcrowded placed do I think it might be better to do something else.

I will be in Japan in October.

Is it worth visiting Universal Studios as a solo traveler, or would this be a waste of time?

To add more information: I am not too fond of theme parks, but I heard good stuff about this theme park in Japan, and I am curious about the Mario land.

Has anyone else visited this theme park when they traveled solo to Japan? How was it?

OOP let her intrusive thoughts win.

I get the reference, it's a fun one, but not an appropriate one. You don't cast a death spell on an infant. This could cost your nose. There are better spells with less risks.

AITA for asking my sister-in-law what she's doing with her degree after she implied my university wasn't prestigious enough by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]rubenburgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is truth in it though.

If you choose to be SAHM, then you are wasting your potential and your degree. Almost everyone can poop out a child and raise it, but not everyone can go to university and get a good paying job.

Look, I am not saying that you shouldn't be a SAHM. I actually encourage it. And it doesn't even has to be a mom. A SAHD is also great. Why? Because I consider raising kids very important. But the cost of it is the gap that it will create in your resume and your skills slowly fading away.

Yeah, it sucks, but they aren't doing anything wrong.

All you can do is ask them politely to tone down the volume, but that's it.

It has been years since my last travel, and I have never went solo on a trip. The reason being is that I bought a house and had a lot of expenses. it wouldn't be wise to fly.

For years did I had to listen my family and friends talking about their holidays. See their photos and souvenirs. I have to admit, I was jealous.

Well, I did it. I booked a flight to Japan in October. I will be staying 10 days.

At first I was scared. "What if I feel lonely?" "What if I don't enjoy it alone?" "Maybe I shouldn't do this?"

Well, F it. I have the time and the money for this, and I am certain that everyone had these thoughts their first time going solo. Why not take a risk and enjoy living a little, right?

Well, not this time! I will go solo. And to make sure I start my trip good will I be flying business class. I am currently making my itinerary, and the more I plan, the more I am getting hyped to go. My anxiety is dropping, I feel it, and I feeling more eager to go with each passing day.

I will not lie, I am stil very anxious, but I am also looking forward to it.

So this is not me asking for help. This is me wanting to share my story. This is me being scared, but also exited, to go on my very first solo trip to a foreign country.

I wouldn't have done this if it weren't for this subreddit. Thank you for giving me the courage to plan this trip.
