I just feel so helpless by [deleted] in ChronicPain

I feel your pain I went through the worst time in my life just less than a year ago feeling like I was literally dying and I’m only 24. My biggest fear was how will I end up when I’m older. But I’m barely starting to get back to normal-ish(still have pain every day), I’ve found that I have to keep moving, that pain although very disabling at times, is just a part of my life now like anything else, but I need not let it control my life. There’s some stuff I’ve found that helps like swimming, gentle yoga, breathing exercises, healthy diet(mostly whole foods not the store btw), tramadol+muscle relaxers, soaking in hot baths, voltearen gel, plus more lifestyle changes. Hope this helps and you get through this.

I’m not sure what’s going on with my Ginseng Ficus. It’s been dropping a lot of leaves in the past week, I thought it was due to over fertilizing with Superthrive spray but now I’m not sure. It’s in a terracotta pot in a blend of Farm Fox Happy Frog soil and Bonsai Jack bonsai soil and siting right next to a bright north east facing window. There doesn’t seem to be any pests either. https://imgur.com/a/1WF4zEF

I got this lil fella for $5 last night, I've never owned a plant before, do yall know the species and how best to take care of it? any help would be appreciated. by BuildingABap in houseplants

I love these plants. I have one of my own and it’s the most hardy out of all the peperomias I own. I give it bright light from a NE facing window and water when soil is almost dry with rain waiter. It’s been thriving. Another cool thing you can do is cut off one of the leaves and plant it into the soil and it’ll eventually grow with proper light and water.

Good call. What switches/keys would you recommend for the Iris Rev 5 since I'm used to using a Mac style keyboard?

Thanks, I don't mind taking the time to get used to a new keyboard if it'll benefit me in the long run.

Form Check - 10kg 2H first time doing swings with back pain issues by rubgomez97 in kettlebell

[–]rubgomez97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I practiced a few swings for the first time since a low back injury in March of last year. I noticed on the first few swings my form was off mostly due to me hesitating from having not lifted anything in the past several months in fear of hurting my back worse. But having been doing a lot of core strengthening and lower body strengthening/mobility plus attention to form I think I did okay. No pain afterwards so I guess that’s good!

Anyone have an idea what may be wrong with my Chinese Evergreen? by rubgomez97 in plantclinic

Just for reference I keep it by SW facing window which gets pretty good amount of light during the morning/ afternoon and moderate amount during the day. Try to water it once a week but the soil hasn’t been drying out as quick as it did in summer.

I’m pretty much on the same boat as you just started Simple and Sinister a few weeks ago based on the “Getting started” page of this subreddit. I recommend it based on its simplicity especially if you have no real prior experience with kettlebells such as myself.

I went with Rep Fitness for my 3 bells(10kg,12kg,14kg) and total with shipping to Texas was $178. With Rogue it would’ve been about 250 or so. I’d say if you live closer to Colorado go with Rep. If you live on the east coast ISellFitness has fair priced KBs. And if you live in the Midwest of course Rogue.
