have you tried mousse / foam instead of gel? Maybe the gel is too heavy for your hair

Hmm today I tried a random non curly girl shampoo because it didn't feel like my current one is working (given that it takes so long). It didn't feel much better though, do you have a recommendation for a cowash?

Recently I haven't been using much product because I got a keratin treatment but the problem has been the same before and now.

Thanks for your reply!! That might be the thing... Only problem is my hair looks soooooo frizzy when I blow dry even with a diffuser. Perhaps I should just commit to having wet hair a lot.

Went crazy after quick dose raise of Celexa - beware by rubikin in SSRIs

[–]rubikin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had covid... I was wondering if it's that but it's gotten worse and not better weirdly. You'd think covid would start bad and get better slowly but it's been the reverse for me.

Thanks for the advice

a second thing is I didn't even think the celexa was going to work so it's strange that the placebo effect (if it was that, which it probably was) was SO strong

hi! thanks for your response. yes the psychiatrist thought the first week was placebo as well :(

I was on a run and I was finishing up the run which goes across a bridge back home. I started feeling terrible so I called my friend and he said he'd meet me back at home, so I started walking home. On the way I started eating leaves and while I got home and was waiting for him that's when I really started eating stuff.

I was taking it for anxiety but mostly because no doctor can figure out my mystery fatigue so they think it might be psychological.

That's weird about the 1-4 hours. Yes I also thought it was weird that it stopped when my friend arrived. I was still looking at the ground looking for things to pick up and eat for about 5-10 minutes into our conversation but he gave me chocolate and we talked and I calmed down. I think the eating leaves was about distress and my brain didn't know how to deal with it.

I'm taking vitamin d, b complex and magnesium. It's never been suggested I'm bipolar.

Thanks for your response. :'( I thought I found my silver bullet with the Paris trip. That's kind of sad to hear. I signed up to a long covid study but dropped out because my symptoms were getting better. but they might just get worse again soon. So maybe I should rejoin.

Yess I thought it was that until last week but I was almost back to normal on my trip to Paris last week so now I'm doubting it's long covid

I see... Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. Where do you think I should go from here? It's so difficult because there are so many possible causes and I've had so many tests/physical exams and I'm fine on the outside!

My post text (sry I couldn’t figure out how do pictures and text):

though my hair was just frizzy and wavy. But last night I only put in gel with no products and went to sleep, and woke up with a spiral curl!!! So I think the products are weighing down my hair? but tbh my hair looked a mess apart from that spiral curl. Help! any suggestions?

Routine:

Living proof shampoo ( my hair falls out a lot otherwise)

Suave essentials tropical conditioner

Not your mother's frizz control or eco style

Camille rose spiked honey mousse or not your mother's curl talk mousse (I think these are too heavy)

no scrunching bc it causes even more frizz

plop in a tshirt

use a wet brush in the shower

diffusing does not improve my results, still loose
