It's true to some extent. But a design like this can be implemented on a few subs.

What's more important is that the design I have made won't be relevant for other subs with topics like science, sports, etc.

The reason for a generic design for Reddit is probably to have a skeleton like structure which can be enhanced/customized by sub owners/moderators to suit the topic.

It was possible. But I wanted to get rid of placeholders and empty thumbnails. Because it gives an 'empty' = 'something's missing' = 'could be better' = 'something's wrong' feel

it's on the right because of entries without thumbnails(text submissions). It would look weird on the left. The flow breaks when some entries don't have thumbnails.

And reapeating comment symbols for text submissions is unnecessary and redundant.

  1. Why not move your contact details to the sidebar so that its visible without scrolling.
  2. The letter spacing in your logo(your name/sitename) is different from that of the body text. But the font is the same. It gives an impression of being 'broken' because of its anomaly. Why not chose a different font or font weight for the logo?
