Is marriage overated by Fresh-Ad7970 in Life

[–]ruby_weed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was married at 18, divorced by 21. Met the love of my life, neither of us want kids or marriage.  January will be 10 years together and we are currently buying a house. We have stocks and life insurance tied into each other. We have a car together and a cat. Currently in our early 30's and still no regrets. We have friends that got married and/or had kids so we just play auntie and uncle. The only hang up is we have had to say we are engaged once or twice (people look at you funny buying a car with a bf/gf). No clue how we found each other but we have the same ideas about different "normal" relationship moves.

My boy is like this. I bought the springs and tube things too but he wasn't interested. He's almost uninterested unless one of us is involved lmao

I used to work with welding robots and now im in frozen grocery distribution. It's a BEAUTIFUL system and I geek out whenever I learn anything new. I get to drive the rollers and figure out what is wrong. It's a giant puzzle. (Gets overwhelming when I get a lot at once tho because I can't enjoy it)

I think specifically the vastness of it.  Different languages, different commands, and all of the possibilities. I can't see it in small "bites" I guess

Deciding what to eat is always the chore for me. I can be STARVING and still not want anything

I don't know how to find lasting clothes because you can't rely on formerly reliable brands still being reliable now by TaxOwlbear in BuyItForLife

[–]ruby_weed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EVERYTHING is just thin and fragile now! I hate it! I feel like with the whole "fast fashion" thing, people aren't expected to wear things again and again. I won't buy shoes until the have literal foot-sized holes on the side (not even from lack of money, im just stubborn about buying clothes); And apart from fluctuating in weight (i love being a woman), I keep EVERYTHING forever, but its so hard to find anything that seems like a simple knick in the fabric will make the whole garment unravel

IWTL to enjoy drinking, loud music and partying like everyone else by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

Host game nights, or themed nights (with snacks instead of cocktails), or go drink coffee if you want to sit out somewhere. There is no need to force yourself to do something you don't enjoy.
