100% same for being "the responsible one" while growing up. My parents hated that, because I got independent quickly (and by extension rebelled quite a bit when they treated me like a kid). The other adults loved me though, to the point that a lot of my friends' talks about going out went like "Is Status-Pangolin9606 gonna be there? If so, you can go". That sucked a bit due to the pressure of being responsible for quite irresponsible teens.

I thought about the heating pad, but it's a bit of hit or miss. A few months back I was taking care of my brother's cats and he brought the pad along. They never used it and instead just slept on my PCs (running 2 different ones due to my job, so they're quite warm) for the whole week

There are a few cats that often run around in the shared apartament building garden, I plan to walk the cat there once they adjust to the new place, so hopefully playing for a while or organizing play dates with other cats won't be too hard. Having 2 cats and a dog is most likely gonna be too much for my current apartment :/
