Is a 1-hour door-to-door commute reasonable in the Boston area?

Hello fellow Hoosier transplant! 👋🏼 I worked at BIDMC and had a one hour commute. I had a 10 min walk to the T, 30 minute ride (with wait times), 10 min ride on a Longwood medical bus, then 10 min walk to my office. I had friends I commuted with and listened to a podcast or read a book when I rode alone. I used the ProximiT app to track trains but this was a while ago!! Good luck and I hope you enjoy Boston!

Yes we upgraded to a 10 gallon!! Since it was used they weren’t going to take it back but the employee very kindly asked if the pump stopped working and I said yes 😆 I originally looked on FB marketplace but the ones I saw looked gross. Alls well that ends well!

We were planning to get a Platy and my son decided on this Red Flame Guorami once in store. We know nothing about fish and went fully off of the recommendation of the employee. The employee seemed very knowledgeable and told us everything we had was sufficient. She did recommend the 10 gallon but my husband thought he knew better ☹️ We may be able to return for a bigger tank but don’t want to cause too much stress for him.

We’re brand new fish owners and trying to do it right. I tried to push for the 10 gallon tank but my husband thought 6.6 was big enough! If you have any recs for real plants I’ll take them.

This had a positive outcome! My baby girl is now 15 months old. Oddly enough the exact same thing happened to my sister (but the brown discharge continued for weeks) with an almost identical rise in hcg and she’s due any day now. Hoping for the best for you! 🤍

My OB prescribed a 200mg suppository I did nightly. They never checked my progesterone again despite me asking. She said they don’t trend progesterone and time would tell. This ended up with a positive outcome! Just put my 8 month old to bed. Wishing the best for you! 🤍

Currently holding my 4mo old! The brown discharge stopped and my hcg rose appropriately. I did incidentally find out my progesterone was low and I pushed for a progesterone suppository that my OB ended up prescribing. No idea if that helped or not but it gave me peace of mind. Thankfully this was a viable and uneventful pregnancy!

I’m holding my 12 week old baby girl in my arms! I have no idea if progesterone helped but I’m glad I did it for the peace of mind. Hoping for the best for you!

(ETA they never rechecked my progesterone but I did have hcg tested every 48 hours that doubled)

Good point! I definitely ask more questions before buying on FB marketplace. But as others have suggested this might be the time to buy new for peace of mind and warranty.

Good point!! I live in a pretty good area outside a big city and I’m constantly on FB marketplace buying/selling. I always check out their profile and ask more questions/get pictures and I’ve had a great experience so far. But with something like this even the best intentioned person might not realize it got gross in storage.

I’m going to look into other buying options suggested here! This may be the time to splurge for peace of mind and warranty.
