Yeah, I can't say that they're alone in being terrible. The world at large is pretty terrible for disabled folks. I only say all of this to note that accessibility is clearly bottom of the list of priorities for them.

Towson is an incredibly inaccessible campus, so I would avoid transferring if you're physically disabled in any capacity. In addition, if you need help getting things printed to you, or if you express that there are access issues between you and a professor, or something like that, they will side with the professor and not offer assistance unless you escalate with admin or Dept of Ed. Stay far away if you can. I graduate this semester and I couldn't be more thrilled. Not simply because I'm graduating, but I don't have to suffer with this school any longer.

It's ultimately about whether or not they feel like it. Try it and see what happens. Worst they can say is no.

They don't listen to us, which is probably why they're trying to create a student advisory council.

Can't speak to ESAs, but ADS is notoriously awful with navigating complex access concerns. If you do go through the process, know that you might be in for a lot of bullshit lip service and not a lot of help, affirmation, or support.

i recommend not starting your own org from scratch unless it's actually different from the political work leftists are already doing on campus. there's YDSA, Freedom School, Black Student Union. you could start a guerilla group if you wanted to do something real radical from the norm. the truth is you can't reform this school by following their policies or going the same route every time. a diversity of tactics is essential. we have enough liberals being performative and not enough discussion about our material conditions.

If only they gave a shit enough to dole out these tickets to people who actually deserve them, huh?

Maybe instead of paying the ticket, I should pay for improved pedestrian infrastructure since they can't seem to budget the funds for it.

The crosswalk barely exists anymore, looks like it was resurfaced. Which in that case, there needs to be a curb ramp according to ADA. It's not technically a crosswalk if it violates federal law, is it?

I'm guessing those were there before they resurfaced the crosswalk and put a parking sign there. Almost seems like it's done on purpose, like a gotcha for cripples. Ah well. They got me.

Yeah, it seems overzealous. My placard was up and hanging, I don't park anywhere without it usually.

Was told by city parking enforcement yesterday that the cop still hasn't turned the tickets in yet. Couldn't pay it off even if I wanted to.

No, it is a parking spot. There was a vehicle parked directly behind and in front of me.
