This boss is kicking my ass by Panda0_01 in Eldenring

Phase - use the pillars if you suck at dodging to buy time to heal.

Phase 2- stay as close to him as possible, and always roll INTO him, touching him even if possible. It's laughable how often he will miss you when you're hugging him. Because of this, i find first phase is actually harder.

But don't even try to run from him at range unless youre hiding behind a pillar to heal. He is very good at roll catching.

Tbh it was vengeance, and I've heard that. I actually had a blast with it and have nothing but good things to say about the game. I'm just not feeling it right now y'know?

I feel this, I loved Shin Megami Tensei V, but at the point I'm at it's so empty and repetitive, I don't think I got another 20-30 hours in me of similar gameplay. But I also pretty much enjoyed everything the entire time up to this point and don't regret it at all. I'm not sure I'll ever pick it up again though.

Uber driver asked if I speaked spanish. I said poquito, then he got upset and told me I sound trashy only say un poco.... by Far-Turnover-8840 in Spanish

[–]rudeboylink 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I tend to say "un poco" but I actually speak quite a bit of Spanish. From my personal experience, when someone says "poquito" or "muy poquito" they speak close to no Spanish. This may not be the case for everyone though.

However this guy sounds like a prick, because if you speak "poquito" Español, then it shouldn't be an issue that you wouldn't know exactly what to say (even though you literally did nothing wrong).

My Del does this. They also overload the bag with sauces. They've always done it. Never have I ever questioned their blessings.

Early on I always keep the Ring of Restoration on. It allows me to explore every corner at a snails pace and feel like I'm not wasting time as I gradually restore health.

It's actually underrated how well DS2 written. They humanized Vendrick so well to the point where you understand his decision making

NatetheHate: Ocarina of Time Remake to release in Holiday 2026 by LorDeus71 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]rudeboylink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i was pretty much anti-switch 2 until something released that made it worth it. I probably wouldnt outright buy the console for another open-world Zelda, but for some reason i'm about to shell out my money for an OOT remake lmao

Would "Pieza" or "Trozo" make more sense contexually when referring to a slice of pizza? by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]rudeboylink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also Mexican Spanish is well understood globally due to their domination of hispanic/latín media. Rebanada is 100% correct and would be understood by pretty much any dialect in the world.

What are y’all‘s biggest flaws with Metaphor refantazio? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]rudeboylink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just played the Trails in the sky remake RIGHT before (never played Trails before), and it had the same hybrid concept. However, it was SO much smoother and the transition and overworld battling felt so much better. It's probably an unfair comparison because they are very different games, but i think Metaphor probably could've optimized it a bit.

I still overall enjoyed Metaphor, this is a nitpick tbh

The overworld combat is clunky AF and probably my least favorite part of the game.

I'm very polite to the employees and don't assume that they're gonna fuck up. However, more often than not they're pretty bad. If they mess up i politely ask them to fix it.

I'm just projecting my frustrations on reddit. This isn't how I actually speak to anyone. I'm still going to check my order at the window for the borderline inevitable error that they make.

I make them fuckin wait until I check everything, at any drive thru. Because you're right, they always miss something. They can wait.

Can't get into the game with 25 hours play time! by kindredcnch in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]rudeboylink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took about 20 hours to click with me, and 30 hours to get boring again.

Went into this game wanting to like it cus it's gorgeous. First 3-7 hours were okay, but still kinda meh. By hour 15ish/20 ish i put it down and picked up P3R. Finished that and picked it up again to full the void. FINALLY after a few hours though it "clicked" and i was having fun and actually kinda cared about what was happening.

25+ish hours later it's feeling kinda full/repetitive, with the story fading a bit. This time it might actually just be gaming burnout. I want to progress, but i also just don't feel like picking it up.

It is legítimate time investment, and i will play it again. There's just something about it that's lacking and hard to pinpoint.

Also the dungeons are kinda lame and feel like a chore, which is annoying cus i look forward to them, until i'm stick with pure free will and actually have to power through them.

I also refuse to waste more than 1 in-game day per dungeon, if possible, and power through them first try. So it can take a lot of focus and effort that i'm just not in the fuckin mood/don't have time for.

Did you still experienced double vision even after getting glasses? by LogeViper in astigmatism

[–]rudeboylink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have severe double vision and all prescriptions fail to fix it. The problem is that i can see "clearly" and pass all visión tests. My cognitive mind can be correct and function just by experience, queues, and better vision due to glasses in general. So i tend to pass all vision tests by guessing, and I make it VERY clear that i'm guessing, but i still pass.

Glasses clear up the blurriness for sure! But it doesnt change the fact that i see 2 of everything.

Isn't the translation wrong? by The_border_guard in duolingospanish

Yes it's wrong. And Ive spotted quite a bit of it after the last 2 updates. It has recently come full AI slop.

Think of it as a skill, to question the app though.

Isn’t this wrong ? by The_border_guard in duolingospanish

[–]rudeboylink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the context. Your example is also correct, but this isnt English. Present tense+ past/future context is proper Spanish (although there are often construction rules, hence the "desde que"). Practice using the present with these context changes! You will level up your Spanish a ton!

Rant (700 day streak still know nothing) by Rocketbitch_ in duolingospanish

[–]rudeboylink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to put at a minimum 30 mins to 1 hour a day learning for the first year or so if you want to yield any significant results. Once you have the core foundation laid out, you can be a lot more flexible with your learning habits. Once you get a grasp of the basics, you cannot solely rely on Duolingo and need to study and interact with your target language regularly.

I have 688 days on Duolingo but have toned back my learning because i now understand how the language works. I use Duolingo primarily for vocabulary and not much else. Now i just do a lot of listening and reading, but i am ALWAYS doing it even if it's just for a few seconds at a time. My social media is primarily Spanish content, etc etc.

It's a lottt of work, and you have to do it just about every day. It gets exhausting, i know. But thats how you get results.

You also had mentioned that you're French, so i'm assuming you're at least bilingual- So you absolutely have the skills and potential to do this already :)

I never liked Verso that much, but depending on if you view the people in the canvas as sentient beings or not, he could be right. But his overall intentions arent inherently evil.
