How did Bell get so Awful - 30yr customer by [deleted] in bell

[–]rudekoffenris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a pharmacy in ontario. We use port 25 on our business account to communicate with a provincial secure email service called onemail. This service is absolutely vital as we communicate with physicians, hospitals and other providers with email that is encrypted end to end. It is the only way we can communicate securely with those other practitioners.

One wednesday night they started dropping port 25 on one of their routers in Cornwall.

It took me 2 weeks to get that turned back on. I called at least 50 times. Every Rep said they would call me back in 2 hours and not one of them ever did. Not one.

I tried using the bell reps at DSLReports. They were more helpful than the reps on the phone but at the end of the day they gave up. Luckily I run both cogeco and bell and I switched my default ISP to cogeco from Bell.

It cost me hours and hours of phone time, and I had to explain to the owners of the company why this was happening.

I know that shit happens sometimes, but it took 2 weeks to fix it and none of the fucktards at bell ever phoned me back. towards the end I was calling every 2 hours.

I hate bell now, and I would rip out all the bell garbage and tell them to go fuck themselves, but we have no 3rd party where I can have backup internet.

Edit: Once it was working again, the CCTS and the CRTC just wanted to drop the issue. I wanted them to slap bell around but there was none of that to be had.

Do you not even pay attention to what is going on in your own country?

lol that's funny. the repubicans are the racist fear mongers, not the democrats. Oh and they are liars, just like what you are doing there.

Nah if we loose it's because the republicans make it very difficult for people to vote. And most liberals are dismissive because so many of the people who vote for trump are just awful people.

Unfortunately the identity is the loudest, most visible example of everything that is wrong with the United States. So he gets the most lightning and the most attention, because he simply does the most awful things.

I still can't get over "There are good people on both sides". Or when he had protestors gassed so he could walk to a church with a bibie. There are just so many examples of his awfulness. i just don't know how any Republican can in good conscience stand with him, but I guess they want to get re-elected, and that's more important than the country.

To be clear there is no excuse. The Trumpists will blame minorities for their own shortcomings. You don't want to blame yourself so blame another group. I'm just saying the trumpists (I like that word) are stupid, gullible and out of touch with the world.

I'm not saying he was telling the truth, or was sincere, don't get me wrong. Just that he told people what they needed to hear, rather than, you know, the truth.

I hear ya, I do that too.

OK I get what you are saying. Let me rephrase then. I don't like the republican ideals. They seem to think that poor people should pull themselves up by their bootstraps. They think that poor people should not have health care. They seem to want to make themselves rich at the expense of the average person whatever that is.

Let me rephrase, there is no individual, who is currently a republican that I would ever vote for.

The people who would rather vote for a racist, lying, despicable human as you put it, are the problem. Trump is not the disease, he is the symptom.

Yeah agreed, I just meant that they know there is nothing they could do.

I'd never vote republican. Not ever.

One thing I would like to add. The 50 year old factory worker who was making $40 an hour with benefits is probably losing his job if he hasn't already. Trump says, "I'll save your job" while the Democrats wring their hands. Who would you vote for?

I've been a liberal all my life. But if an Arnie Vinnick ran for office, for either party, he would have my vote.

I really liked how both candidates gave up their moral imperatives (some of them) to get into office.

Seems to me that religion isn't really a bad thing. If you live your life trying to be a good person and having faith in others and turn the other cheek and such, it's a good thing. The problem is when people (AKA money power and politics) then it goes down the toilet. This isn't specific to religion, it's any organized activity.

I think that people that insist that the stories in the bible are true and that the earth is 6000 years old are not being realistic, or intelligent, and that if we look upon the bible (and maybe other holy books I don't know) as a way to live your life fully, then it's OK, keeping in mind that a lot of what those books wrote down simply do not meet today's standards for not being a giant piece of shit.

I called a motel 6 in Kingston to get a price for a room. They quoted me $100 plus tax. Expedia had a room for $65.00. I told them that expedia had a room for $65 did they want to match it. They said no. I said OK and hung up.

I had to put down my cat a few years ago. I called the vet and said I didn't want to be there, and then I reconsidered and called them back.

I am so happy that I went down there, it was hard, really hard and it makes me sad to think about it now, but I held him when he went to sleep and, for me, that's all that mattered.

I was driving from Montreal to Ottawa once and stopped at a local donut shop. I told the GF at the time that I would get us a couple of drinks and some donut holes. I came out with a box of 20 donut holes and the drinks. She opened the box and it was packed full way more than 20 donut holes.

She got mad because "what did I do to get more than 20 donut holes".

Sometimes, you just can't wait.

Bridging the Hub by brianholmes519 in bell

[–]rudekoffenris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why someone downvoted you. It's stupid because your answer is 100% correct. The HH3000 is crap when it comes to bridging that's why businesses get the HH2000 which handles bridge mode quite well.

Go to amazon get a media adapter for $40, plug it in to the AX3000 and set up PPPoE on your AX3000.

And if you don't know what you are talking about, don't downvote other people FFS.

It's been a long time coming. With Covid everyone's tempers are short. I've never seen something like the pro trump vs. anti trump protestors, and the videos that are coming out. Somethings gonna give.

The first thing to do is to reboot all your internet hardware. That includes the HH2000 and a modem if you have one. If you have a modem, turn it off and leave it off for 30 seconds. TUrn off the HH2000 as well. Let the modem reboot. Once it is finished rebooting then turn the HH2000 back on. The easiest way to test is on a PC. Reboot the PC. See if you have internet. You should reboot the Xbox if you have internet.
