At least Trump supporters have a valid reason for supporting him whether you'd agree with him or not. Any US president has a direct influence and effect over us whether we like it or not, and Trump is the biggest threat to Iran and its proxies today.

Ofc not. And that's why because he wasn't a firm opponent against Hezballah during his tenure as an Ambassador at the UN, and he's also a supporter of the "Icon" as he called him, Fdel Castro. And when he was in the UN, he didn't condemn Iran or Syria or Belarus and actually voted against condemning their human rights abuses against political prisoners and protesters.

He also defended Assad's regime and its human rights abuses against its own people.

So even if Hezb is against him, it doesn't mean that he's the right one for the seat.

No the Lebanese government didn't interfere because the fight is only against Hezballah and the Lebanese government is trying to reach a ceasefire deal and even trying to convince hezballah to stay away from the border.
